NLDid not work in China Had to work in China for a few months. Took out a three-year subscription on the basis of reviews. Wherever I was in China: PIA did not work. Pityful smiles from my Chinese collegues, who all have six or seven VPN’s on their phones, not one of them being PIA. They gave me access to VPN’s that DID work. Requested a refund from PIA. Their reaction: ‘ well, this is China- and sometimes PIA does not work, there - and by way: you are too late to ask for a refund, so in spite of the fact that we sold you something that did not work and we kind of forgot to mention that in the sales blurb - no refund for you’. My personal advice (AND the advice of the people who have to work around the ‘VPN-harassment’ of the Chinese government each day:): if you have to be anywhere near China, take Shadowrocket.

NLeasy to use without much knowledge Private Internet Access is very easy to use without much knowledge. I don't see any lose in internet speed. I'm very satisfied about this program and recommend also for beginners.

ITOnly for geeks? My second time with PIA as a dumb user, hoping that this time would be better. In fact, it got worse, I guess this is also because apps, sites, browsers, etc. have by now developed a way of overcoming or altogether blocking it. I had to eliminate PIA on the phone, as it made most apps crash, and only partially use on the desktop, amidst frequent crashes and interferences. The customer service is kind and easily approachable but, again, unless you are a geek, things don't get easier.

CASecurity and Reliability equals loyalty I've been using PIA for years. I found them on a simple search, looking for a reliable VPN. They came highly recommended. I've had zero issues with them in the 7 + years I've been using their service. I spoke to customer service once, because I lost my account. I spoke to a lovely woman, who was very helpful in getting me sorted. That's the extent of my issues. I use it on multiple computers and my phone. It always works. It tells you what connections are geo-located. The rates are great. I remain a loyal customer.

CAPrivate Internet Access > Bitdefender VPN Used to use Bitdefender VPN to access streaming services from different countries, but their VPN servers were always getting recognized by the streaming services and then access was always blocked. I can count the number of times Private Internet Access VPN has had that problem on one hand. There's probably 5 times as many VPN servers as Bitdefender VPN, and whenever one server gets blocked they replace it with a new one. Very happy with the value I got, there's usually a good deal that PIA offers (think I got 3 years for $65 USD, or something around there).
