My best experience with servers In the last 6 years I used the services of Amazon Cloud, Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Microsoft Azure, OVH, RamNode, Digital Ocean, Vultr, TurnKeyInternet, Velia, and another one so cheap run by 1 guy which I don't remember. Even if I can say those services were good with a good support team, I must say Hivelocity gave me the best experience, with an extremely FAST an useful support. I'm not a IT professional but honestly I prefer to do everything by myself, and with their services I could go from an empty drive to a custom compiled kernel/image on a bare metal machine "overclocked" in the BIOS with recent Intel CPU. No downtime, at least the machine was up for months and I logged in 2/3 times a day and I never had any problem. And what made the difference is the PRICE for the VALUE. One simple Hivelocity bare metal server did the job of 23 Digital Ocean's VPS I was using when I chose to move.

Incredible tech support My business sites were down (not because of Hivelocity) and everyone of their support personnel helped me with the issue until it was resolved. It was probably over 10 hours of phone calls and emails. Douglas especially was a godsend. He got the other company on a 3 way call and wouldn't quit until the problem was resolved. So grateful for their expertise, patience and professionalism.

Lack of DDoS Protection Over the years, what was previously a 5-star service has degraded into a rather unhealthy and frankly appalling partnership. Hivelocity currently hosts around five machines, making up around 5% of our infrastructure overall. Of the numerous DCs we have worked with over the years, they have put in place more null routes on those 5 machines in one night, than we have received over a 7-year period across the other 95% of our infrastructure. Their DDOS 'mitigation', even at the paid level isn't mitigation, but instead a direct null of the IP address. There appears to be no filtering as part of the paid service. Support appears to have no understanding of how DDOS attacks work, and simply null route an IP address until an attack subsides - that doesn't feel particularly effective, given we have been forced into an outage due to their lack of protection for 5 hours so far this morning. Appalling service overall.

Fantastic service Fantastic service. I've been with Hivelocity for about 8 years now. Being a novice, they are superb getting me through lots of issues I've faced over the years. From migration to simple DNS issues I had faced, their support to billings everything has been utter bliss. I don't think I'll be switching anytime in the future, they have gotten a customer for life.

Eli from NY is a great resource We've been a colocation customer for about a year now. I wanted to come here to praise one specific employee. Eli from Hivelocity's NY dc is one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He genuinely cares about our experience, always wants to help us with problems, and provides excellent advice in all situations we have needed it. I don't usually write reviews but I had to come here to talk about him. He has made our Hivelocity experience great and I really appreciate him for it.
