GBBad Experience I had trouble getting in touch with someone initially to order and that should have been a red flag for me. I called back later and did talk to someone who checked no a part and part number for me to make sure it had what I wanted. 3btech sent me a different part than I ordered, and due to time constraints and the cost of shipping being close to the part itself I will not be doing business with this company ever again. When I called today they were already closed at 5pm, and it seems to me that an internet computer part company should be open till at least 8pm not bankers hours... I do not recommend anyone else does business with this company.

GBBuyer Beware! I ordered Microsoft Office 2011 for Mac from this company because I wanted the software on a disk and everything on the product page suggested this was on a disk: nowhere in the product description did it say it was a key code download (finally, on my third or fourth look at the product page--and only after I had returned the product--I saw a notice in small, light blue text at the top of the page), the picture of the software box did not say "Key Code," and among the system requirements was a DVD drive (which would be needed only if the software was on a disk). It also didn't say that this was a disk, but I made that assumption from the DVD requirement. As you'll have guessed, what I received was a key code. I called and objected, and they gave me an RMA for return, but they charged a 15% restocking fee. In the meantime I bought the software (download, apparently disks are simply not available) at a different site for $25 less. Will I buy from them 3btech again? NO.

GBAttention to Detail 12/30/09 - Upgrading from my recently dead XP box. The 3b-tech PC arrived DOA on 1/7/10. Worked with tech supp to try and resolve prob. When they said to take out and inspect the CPU I said it was time to send it back for refund! They would only repair since it was a "custom built" machine. I gave them verbal and written notes about the front panel coming off during shipment and some plastic pieces I found rattling around in the case when I opened it for inspection - not good. Sent it back on 1/12/10 after waiting for them to send me an RMA. They did however pay the return shipping both ways. 1/20/10 - Got the repaired PC (motherboard?) back with the front panel still jammed out of place exactly as I had originally received it, internal boards and some memory chips were not fully seated AND with no OS loaded!!! - I had ordered Windows 7 to be installed and the HD came back formatted for XP - no OS, just formatted! Called tech supp again and they said "just install Windows 7 - its easy"! True enough, the install was easy, BUT locating the correct drivers for all the components of the system took hours of searching and testing (of course the OEM drivers they supplied were NOT compatible with Win 7, and even crashed my system). I finally got the machine working and software loaded to my satisfaction a couple days later after much research about Win 7 compatibility issues on the web (thank goodness the network card was working!). My point being is that this should not have been needed if the install was done correctly at the original system build time. I have purchased several PCs online before and this was by far my worst experience with a "custom-built" system. These guys need to pay a lot more closer attention to detail. I even bought another motherboard from Ebay for my XP box as a just-in-case backup! Downtime: 3 weeks Grade: C

GBGood price - Bad products I had bought a Socket 462 motherboard from them (About a year ago) and was sent a bad board (board wouldn't work right when installing winXP). Anyways, they sent me another board, this one sort of worked, except for that capacitors were on the verge of blowing/leaking when I got it (they were bulging), so I asked for them to test it, they said nothing was wrong with it and returned it to me). The board also had other issues, and frankly it's like 3BTech either didn't test the board, or didn't test it throughly enough, so it's now a wasted $25 investment (a small amount, but still angers me). Most of their stuff is used, even if it is advertised as NEW. I'd be concerned with that alone (false advertising).
