GBDisastrous Software Using lucid press for essays was an absolute pain. It was practically impossible to get everything set up. Once we miraculously did, it is impossible to run smoothly, no matter the computer. It is so freaking slow that it is an absolute pain. So many glitches and crap that I do not recommend anybody to use this crap.

GBBogus Billing - Costly Software I tried Lucid Press in order to publish on multiple platforms. During the trial period I discovered that it was not robust enough to rival Adobe InDesign. I cancelled my trial but I was billed anyway. Lucid Press billed me $390 for a year of software. There was never an invoice or receipt sent to me. I did not locate the billing error until a much later date -- while preparing taxes. Lucid Press was unhelpful and refused to refund the error. I had not touched the software since before the trial period ended. All said, this was a $400 bogus charge and has left me with a negative opinion of the company. * Update: I was offered a partial credit in lieu of a refund for this billing error. I determined during the trial period that this program is not suitable for my needs. A partial credit is not an acceptable solution to this $390 bill.

IEDear Sirs, Dear Sirs, i took out a membership with Lucid press last year. This year you took the membership from my bank account without any bill, invoice etc. I would appreciate it if you would refund me my membership money for this year and cancel my membership.

HKMore features to be added I am a lucidpress basic package user. I find it has little shape to choose form (hexagon etc); no chinese character fonts (When I use bold on selected Chinese letters, some appears to be regular, some are bold. And then I have to give up the idea of bold). Also, I wish to add features to beautify photos (like some filters for users). Overall, this is a good and convenient way to create brochure, magazine etc.

GBGreat all around MS Publisher… Great all around MS Publisher alternative. I use this for making business cards, banner designs, flyers, etc. Being web-based makes it easier to work from different locations and share access with others. It can be quirky if you don't plan your design ahead of time before designing or if you are new to it but works very well for a great value and no contract plan.
