Do NOT install if you watch any online videos If you watch any online videos, to include YouTube, please DO NOT install ZoneAlarm. My laptop isn't fast (1.86Ghz to be exact), but I was able to watch any online videos without interruption before I installed ZoneAlarm. I did not think it was Zone Alarm that caused the issue, after all, it was only an antivirus software. I deleted Zone Alarm to test it out, and instantly, after a reboot, I was able to watch videos without interruption. The speed felt rejuvenated to youth again. Thank goodness I didn't pay for a year subscription.

The program is dated resource hog. I have a high-end specs gaming desktop I use for work but nevertheless, ZA makes it suffer. I have used ZA since 2009, but this is becoming ridiculous. UI design is super dated and hasn't been updated since 2012, despite users begging for years for optimisation and change. Stay away!

Installed it Installed it Next time i rebooted windows, windows would not boot up. I got that message page about problems with some options such as to do a FULL reset or try a system restore. I chose system restore....LUCKILY it worked. When Windows rebooted successfully, Zone Alarm was gone. One day later,eveything is still fine.

Takes 1GB of RAM and Disk at 100% I wanted to try and install the ZoneAlarm free version. They offered a free license for the ZoneAlarm Next Generation Antivirus (Beta version). After installation, it takes more than 1GB of RAM memory, the disk is at 100% and I cannot do anything on the computer. And this is impossible to uninstall. Some folders are left and CheckPoint SBA keeps running in the background and eating memorey/disk. I tried with Revo or IObit: still some folders with dll than cannot be removed. What a nighmare !!!

I cannot find a way to block payment via Paypal. Current "summer offers " are cheaper than renewal options. A right nightmare of a company . Have used Sophos without issue
