GBWe evaluated 6 different self directed… We evaluated 6 different self directed Ira companies for doing our own real estate investment. We picked alto on price (not the least expensive but because they don’t charge based on investment size the pricing was fair), online capability, live phone support if needed (it wasn’t), web experience, and simplicity of fees. It took us about 10 minutes to setup our accounts, and funding was easier. Setup of an investment vehicle requires a lot of approvals from us, the real estate folks and alto, but all Automatted and only took a few days. Very nice support for our first time.

GBUnable to log in - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE For the past 1 week - I am unable to log into my account because it says “your account is unavailable at the moment. Sorry for the inconvenience”. I have written number of emails to help desk but NO response. I am looking to rollover money but I am having serious doubts. Called up customer service but they have no idea what’s going on - they are not adept at handling such questions. The company has raised over $50M+ but such poor tech and customer service. No one has followed up. Edit: Its been 3 days and Alto was unable to access the tickets raised due to a "technical glitch" - This is madness :) Edit #2: It’s been 1.5 weeks and finally my account is back up and running.

After waiting the necessary period for the funds to be transferred over from my external account, I was "up and trading" within a relatively short period of time.
