GBBeware! Their software contains malware Beware. I am a self employed Helpdesk Engineer and I downloaded this software as an alternative to Teamviewer as it's quite a lot cheaper. I would hazard a guess that this is a rogue company. Not only does their software contain malware, it blocks the installation of anti virus software. Their certification is out of date (SHA256 authentication) and their helpdesk is fake - kept in 4th place of a non existent queue for over half an hour. I'm very glad I didn't subscribe.

GBPoor customer service? Update: Resolved after submitting a second ticket. --- Original: I recently opened a ticket (January 6th) regarding a subscription I didn't realise I still had with Splashtop. It's unused so I wanted to cancel it. I was told that as I didn't have an active session and it was still within 30 days that I would get a refund as well. They asked me to confirm some details regarding the original payment which I did. I heard nothing back to date and when I checked my ticket (318353) I noticed it was closed and no customer feedback was required. I assume it was silently closed so that I wouldn't be aware of it. I've since opened another ticket to ask why this is and what the status is regarding the refund that I have yet to receive, but it's not looking promising at all. I'll update this review with more information as and when I have any, and if the outcome changes to be a positive one then I'll change the rating to reflect that. If someone at Splashtop sees this, the original ticket ID is 318353.

GBExcellent RMS software that just works As a small MSP and IT support operation we switched from LMI Rescue to Splashtop SOS 3 years ago. Excellent software that works perfectly, is stable, reliable, easy to use and *fast*. Most of all, it costs a fraction of Logmein and Teamviewer. Support is first rate, the rare times we needed to contact them related to Ubuntu glitches and they responded instantly. Reading some of the reviews here I'm stunned that someone claims it contains malware - this is an outrageous lie and quite defamatory. Cui bono I guess. My only bugbear with Splashtop is that it cannot support multiple Splashtop accounts on one device. If it did I would have sent them hundreds of new customers. Highly recommended and I remain a happy client.
