When we wanted to upgrade our package to a higher package because we were at our limit we had to purchase a new package with a higher rate-limit. For this, our old package was not simply cancelled, so we had to pay twice the package. We immediately emailed about this asking to cancel the one package because we wanted to upgrade. Got the response that we should just read the terms and conditions and determine both packages. Most poor service I have ever seen from a company. No long term strategy for loyal customers and only think about making quick money.

Had they sent their renewal invoice a day, week, or month in advance (like most ethical companies who automatically renew subscriptions), I would have unsubscribed prior to the renewal. If you have alternatives for using another API provider, I recommend steering away from Zyla Labs. Their business practices and policies do not have your best interests at heart.
