TRUECAR does not come true. TRUECAR does not give the consumer a complete information about the vehicle regarding prices, fees, rebates and car loan interest rates available and applicable. It does not give you the nearest dealership that exists after entering your zip code. It only has those dealerships that may have registered and/or paid a fee with TRUECAR.

Pricing transparency!! Not even close Pricing transparency!!! Until you are ready to buy and made arrangements. Suddenly the price goes up $5,000 from what was quoted. As dealer add market adjustment and other accessories fees. Totally inaccurate pricing info just to bait consumers.

Not up front pricing The whole point of the site is that you supposedly get a price that the dealer will honor when you take them your quote. Spoiler alert - they don't (honor the price). It is just another pile of people through the door for the sales guys. I am sure TrueCar is aware. Given the supposed model you would expect them to follow-up with consumers to ask if they got the promised price. But the dealers are the customers so they keep quiet and keep the checks coming in.

Twice used for car & pickup purchase satisfied The dealers almost always reach out to me even if they do not have the car i am looking for. I have used TrueCar for 2 searches and purchased from dealers who responded from TrueCar. There was a challenge on my search for my 2017 Ridgeline when Jenkins Honda (Florida) did not want to honor the TrueCar price and started adding on additional fees. We resolved the situation before I walked away. It was very frustrating and time consuming to say the least.

IT’S NOT QUICK & EASY TO REVIEW CARS FOR SALE ON TRUECAR.COM For car buyers truecar.com looks good at first use, BUT BEWARE, because if you want to contact the actual seller (they are a conduit for dealers) you have to click on “get actual price” and then go through a whole process to sign up, during which you are asked to give your name, address, phone, etc. and agree to their Terms and Conditions. After that the dealer/seller calls and texts you whether you asked them to or not!! Time-consuming and irritating, when True Cars could simply put the dealer name/phone on the front page of the listing info.
