GBIf I could give 0 stars If I could give 0 stars, I would. I recently wrote to this company, reporting abuse. Someone had literally harvested all the email addresses from my workplace and put us all on their mailing list. I raised the issue of spam which this company claims to have a zero intolerance policy of…and I’ve heard NOTHING. Not even an auto response email to say they got the complaint or that they’ll look in to it. Which basically makes them virtue signallers of the first order. You can’t claim, publicly that are on the side of someone who’s been spammed if you can’t even get it together to let that person know they’ve been heard. I’m So Sick Of companies claiming the moral high ground whilst not actually occupying it.

MXIs my marketing better with AWeber? AWeber helped me build out a highly responsive list of subscribers. I use their landing page builder so that I pre-sell products I promote on email sequences... And everything is done within the platform. My campaigns look professional & are easily setup with drag & drop features. I have followed various tips from their blog about what to do & what to avoid. Support & feedback are also top in their class. My online business is certainly moving forward with AWeber. Congrats!

ITStill taking my money after account closure After 'improvements' to their system in the spring of 2023, much of what I relied on to run my mailing campaigns no longer worked. Complaints were heard, but not acted on. It took a further six months or so until I had to the time to change my multiple lists to a different and hopefully better bulk email provider, during which time I continued to pay the monthly charge. I had asked for a discount to reflect the degraded level of service, but this was refused. Anyway, I finally transferred all my data out of the system and asked for the account to be closed. The system said this would be acted upon within one working day. Now, a week later, they have billed me the usual sum for the coming month. I was a client for around ten years, and would still be but for the 'improvements' that broke my business model. Aweber might be a good fit for many people still, but if they can't get a simple thing like closing an account right, it's not a good sign.

GBThis company has gotten so paranoid and… This company has gotten so paranoid and is banning anyone who breathes on their account. I am trust trying to import my customers (who have already double opt-ed in and agreed to get order updates.) They are deeming the contacts suspicious which is a total joke. They are going to put themselves out of business if they are so paranoid of their customers data.

GB10-year customer: They took my money without my permission I've WAS an Aweber customer for about a decade and now am NOT. I decided to close my account and switch because Aweber's monthly fees get pretty steep as your list grows. But what gets them a mere two stars from me is what happened after I told two customer service reps (Amanda and Chris) to close the account and clicked "cancel plan" in the dashboard... THEY KEPT TAKING MY MONEY. I confirmed on July 7th that I didn't want the account anymore and they took FOUR MORE payments out of my Paypal account over the next two months. I emailed them repeatedly telling them I didn't want the service anymore until I had Paypal block their autopayments. They ignored me for a while but finally responded, eventually Jo there offered me an apology and confirmed that they had made a mistake not canceling my account. But they refused to fully refund me the payments they took without my permission for a service I didn't want and hadn't used in months. Fortunately, Paypal's dispute department (which can be hard to please) got me the money back as I provided them with all email threads confirming my side of the story. It's wild to me that a company, because of greed and incompetence, would insist on screwing a +10-year customer when doing the right thing would have been so easy. They get two stars because... It's a very robust email platform with a ton of features for managing email optins and sending a newsletter to subscribers. A few times I've had to contact customer service and they were very professional. But... I DO NOT recommend signing up for autopayments, as they may just keep trying to take your money. Also, if you don't pay your AWeber bill for a month they hold your list hostage until you pay. So just export and backup your list with some regularity.
