DKDownloaded Betternet (free version) for … Downloaded Betternet (free version) for Windows, started it, connected and immidiately noticed a severe performance drop regarding my connection speed. Went and did a speedtest which showed me 8Mb/s dl and even less ul. Got the premium version thinking that it might be better, but things just got worse, now it povided me a dl of <4Mb/s and ul so slow the test didnt even go half way thru in 5 minutes. Conclusion is, that the free version sucks and the paid version sucks twice as much. Further, you have to register with a creditcard to get the "Free 7 day trial" as a premium customer. Once you register, you cant cancel the registration, not in the windows app or on their website. I suspect that once the 7 days are up, they will just pull the cash from my card and by then enable a function to let me cancel the subscription. So far I emailed them and demanded they cancel my subscription as the product is simply unusable due to slow connection and massive lag. Oh and regarding speedtest.net, when I run it without using Betternet, my dl is 111Mb/s and ul is 98Mb/s. They really should change the name from Betternet to Worsenet.

CAWorst VPN I have ever used Worst VPN I have ever used. What is the purpose of using the VPN when all your browsing is suddenly stopped or too slow? They should work on their software instead of working on cool marketing techniques. The customer service is not responsive and thanks to God that I only take a one month subscription. Please beware of buying this piece of garbage.

GBTerrible service and hard process to cancel Firstly, the windows application is extremely buggy for some reason, I had to reopen the application multiple times since the VPN would stop for some reason, their chrome extension never worked with me for some reason. Even when using it on my phone every five minutes it would brick itself. Secondly, cancelation support is nearly non-existent, first they will have you talk to about which will ask for YOUR FIRST FOUR AND LAST DIGITS OF YOUR CREDIT CARD, EXPIRY DATE AND THE DATE YOU PURCHASED THE SERVICE, what kind of company asks for these info, even then they don't matter as you are asked these questions again and then wait for an email with customer service to then ask for details again to cancel your service. In summary do not risk it with this service.

GBThey don't even deserve 1 star They don't even deserve 1 star, they make it really hard to cancel your subscription, I had to end up sending 10 messages(no exaggeration) to their support team in order to get it cancelled, they ignored my first 3 attempts which were all about 1 month apart so ive ended up wasting three months subscription on this !! Its a down right scam and avoid at all costs ! In the end I had to resort to spamming them to get them to respond. Absolutely shocking.

GBAvoid - Service does not let you cancel Do not trust this service. They say you can cancel at any time, but when you try to cancel you find you have to send an email and then they keep sending you questions and not cancelling your service no matter how strongly you ask for the cancellation to be made immediately. There are plenty of VPNs that act professionally. Don't risk your money with this one.
