It's allowed us to easily and professionally live stream events, create and manage all of our instructional content, seamlessly integrate with Canvas (including video quizzes that sync with Canvas grades) and the ability to caption ourselves or hire it out with any number of captioning companies. My only complaint would be they need to improve the process to have students use it to submit video assignments. It's currently a bit too complicated and faculty and students tend to make mistakes in the process. Knowing Panopto though this will be addressed and I look forward to the day they improve that functionality.

Whatever update has recently occurred… Whatever update has recently occurred has made Panopto a wretched means of watching lectures during live webcast as well as recordings. The audio cuts in and out, rendering viewing useless. This is an issue not only for students trying to return to a lecture for review but especially for students who are sick and cannot attend lecture in person. We have resorted to zoom recording, which is also not ideal because of how our auditorium is set up, but at least allows us to hear what is being taught. I reached out to our school's IT and they said it related to Panopto. When I emailed Panopto, they redirected my complaint to our school's IT department without so much as reading or responding to my concerns. Apparently I have no means of getting this issue resolved.

Panopto is the best video management… Panopto is the best video management platform for higher education. It has plenty of features, it is easy to use and can be used by students and faculty alike. Panopto integrate with all major LMS and have granular access controls that makes it easy to share videos inside and outside your institution.

5 years of frustratingly bad Panopto recordings I have studied at Aarhus University for 5 years which uses Panopto and for all 5 years at least 1/3 of the recordings were ruined by the camera focusing on the corner of the room, the sound not working, the recording cutting out or the powerpoint show going black. It has been an extremely frustrating experience!
