Almost immediately students asked for it to be mandated. The software is easy to roll out across a large campus due to its software-only focus and the need for just a microphone. Most steps can be automated and the integration with Blackboard (in our case) allows videos to be secured to classes/modules with no additional steps. We currently have over 50,000 videos with increased use year on year. Panopto support is generally excellent, but feature rollout is easier on their cloud platform than when hosting yourself.
