About Cloudflare

Cloudflare is on a mission to help build a better Internet. Today the company runs one of the world’s largest networks that powers more than 10 trillion requests per month, which is nearly 10 percent of all Internet requests for more than 2.5 billion people worldwide. Cloudflare protects and accelerates any Internet application online without adding hardware, installing software, or changing a line of code. Internet properties powered by Cloudflare have all traffic routed through its intelligent global network, which gets smarter with each new site added. As a result, they see significant improvement in performance and a decrease in spam and other attacks.

Absolute garbage Absolute garbage. If I could leave zero stars I would. They only get on the phone for Enterprise customers. Difficult to configure. No support. So many other options.

They kept charging my account even… They kept charging my account even though after cancellation. When I visit billing section it confirms that I have no package that is active but they are still charging every month. The reason why I cancelled is that the service had no benefit and the website kept going offline with terrible speed performance. Avoid

Cloudflare sells domains but doesn't… Cloudflare sells domains but doesn't allow you to change the name servers after you buy them. This isn't some additional feature that companies can upcharge for, this is what you pay for when you register a domain. It's fundamental. It would be like signing up for web hosting but not being able to change the files on the server, or buying a television but the television only playing an hour of pre-recorded video.

My SOP part number 2 My SOP part number 2? Setting up Cloudflare. If it's .com, it probably goes to number 1 in the process of creating a website. I've achieved ~98% cache ratio every month here (Pro version, yes), which is amazing. For the people complaining about this "hosting company", since when is Cloudflare a hosting company? Your site stopped working after moving to Cloudflare? Well, it's the fastest DNS I've worked with, but still, it needs propagation. Or a professional to do what you don't know. Cat abuse? I don't agree with that practice, but if they take a stance on every situation like that, they would be playing god pretty fast. TL;DR: Cloudflare gives you better security, if you know what you're doing (and 20/25$ for the pro version compared to the competition is nothing, with only BunnyCDN offering better prices, but I would rather use Cloudflare any day) you can pretty much cache all your site on their servers, (...). Just use it. And if you don't know how to "make it work" properly, just hire a professional as that takes less than 1h to configure.

Why am I not surprised? I am not surprized to see the large number of 1 star ratings for Cloudflare. Notorious for blocking access to sites that one regularly uses and then does not respond. That's it. No reaction or response. Is therefore a danger to the sites the supposedly protect as they affect customers of those sites negatively.
