Self-censorship is my right Very happy with the service support and the quality of service offered. Registration and annual renewal of service procedures were easy and hassle free. The system works and the data rates are acceptable, that's all I ask for!

Dishonest and unreasonable I thought I'd try Bee VPN because my existing VPN often resulted in a sizable drop in connection speed here in Dubai. What a big mistake I made. Avoid Bee VPN altogether! Whilst the VPN set-up is straightforward enough, the positives end there I'm afriad. I purchased a 12 month VPN package in order to get a better rate. I did this in good faith since they offered a 14 day money back guarantee should it not work. It did not work for me at first and so I had to contact their support who quickly advised that in order to use the VPN with an iPad I required to buy an add on package. I bought the add-on (again for 12 months) and the VPN connected although the connection speed was so slow that it was totally impracticable for even basic internet use. However as far as Bee VPN were concerned, the mere fact that a connection had been made meant that they were entirely absolved from any obligation to give a refund. I suggested that they charge me for one month at the full rate and refund me the rest of my subscription. They wouldn't budge. In summary, they sold me a 12 month VPN that did not work for me. Instead of refunding me (as they promised they would) they succeeded in getting me to part with more cash for an add on which enabled me to gain a connection which is so slow it it unusable. Then, they point blank refused to offer any refund whatsoever. Beware of Bee VPN. They really do sting you.

Easy start up and good service for a first timer. This was the first time I have used a VPN and initially once I had paid I was unsure how to set up the connection and emailed the support centre. I quickly realised I needed to activate it through the email from beevpn and it worked great. I mainly wanted to watch British TV abroad and although there is some buffering which is to be expected (you get that even in the UK) it has been easy. Customer support had also quickly responded to my email in a surprisingly personal way and were ready to help me resolve the situation. So far so good but it has only been a few days. Great start.

Great service, swift helpful support, easy to install. I have chosen BeeVPN partly because of the pricing and partly because they offer a solution where a router can be used as the VPN client so that whatever you connect to the router goes through the VPN. In my case, this is my Humax FreeSat+HD box, my Kindle Fire HD and occasionally my laptop which normally sits on the non-vpn part of my network. The FreeSat box needs to appear to be in the UK for the on-demand and other apps to work. My setup required an extra router to be on my network to act as the BeeVPN client and they recommend an Asus RT-N16 wireless-N router which you flash a flavour of DD-WRT (mega) to and add a startup script that makes the connection. Don't be alarmed by this, all the instructions are on their web site and are easy to follow. Of course you can make this the only router on your home network so everything goes through the VPN but that isn't what I wanted. I had one hitch with the startup script that was resolved very quickly via email and it was my fault not theirs. I cannot fault the connection or the customer service. Well done BeeVPN.

"Unrestricted" download/upload The script for the router did not work, it had to be modified. And im not getting full speed on my connection. I am currently in contact with support, who says its my router cpu that is not up to the task. So i send them a screenshot of me doing a speedtest, while looking at the routers cpu/ram usage. 8% for cpu, and 250 out of 256 mb ram free... It has a 800 mhz dual core. The router they recommend have a 480 mhz single core. Ill update this if they own up to the problem... But it might be a few days, since they only reply once a day, despite their 24/7/365 support sign on their page.
