It is amazing that a toaster can be so many different things, a work of art, a connection to the past, a treasure box of memories, and ... a toaster... of unique design and function. Tim the toaster man is amazing! He's like a Sunbeam Radiant Control Toaster whisperer. I had mistakenly self-diagnosed a faulty thermostat in my unit and shipped it to Tim for replacement. He found that the thermostat blade was in perfect shape, cleaned and adjusted the contacts (the actual problem) and sent it back to me - at no charge! He even spent time with me on the phone walking me through the final adjustment and calibration so it would toast just right. Happily toasting in Toronto.
