Excessive anti-money laundering checks I deposited a mere £15 with EnergyBet. This was gladly accepted. I then tried to withdraw the same amount to the same bank account and was instructed to send personal and address documentation. They only care about AML regulations after they have your money. The AML procedures are excessive and far greater than they need to be. Their requirements even exceed that of traditional financial services (I should know, I work in personal financial planning). For a mere £15, I had to submit 4 different documents, some of which weren't "good enough" and needed to be resent. It's £15 - I'm not going to fund terrorist activity or launder drug money for such a paltry sum... Don't bother with EnergyBet. There are more convenient, less poorly operated betting firms out there.

Gotta laugh at companies like this. :-)) Reading the reviews on here I’m glad they blocked me before I put my money in. I regard it as a lucky escape and would caution ‘buyer beware’. I decided to take advantage of a risky promotion involving a 100% bonus which had to be wagered on multiples with a 12x rollover. As fate would have it I was quite successful and my bank built up from £25 to in excess of £400 by the time I had fulfilled the wagering criteria. Having read some of the reviews on here I must admit I was quite nervous that I wouldn't see my money, however I requested a withdrawal and within about 24 hours it was in my account, no problems whatsoever. I would have no hesitation in using EnergyBet again. Like I say I can't speak for others, but from where I'm sitting I am satisfied and happy that this is a legit and professional operation.

They then asked him to prove his identity by supplying various documents. He provided the documents and they kept rejecting them for minor reasons. For example they wanted a picture of him holding his passport in one hand, and a piece of paper with the days date. The picture had to have his face in too and the details on the passport be able to be read clearly. Anyone can imagine this would be a difficult shot to get on today's phones. Nevertheless he supplied all documents they asked for and replied to an email they sent him confirming his identity. After all that he finally verified his account and tried to withdraw his £50, at which point energybet cancelled his account and took his money. Absolute scam artists.
