We are witnessing the death of IGN.com This website use to be the go to place for anything to do with video games. Been using IGN since it started. I won’t be using it ever again. They sold out to Ads. It’s just ridiculous, fair you need to make money, but the amount of pop ups are just beyond acceptable. It’s a functioning website to help gamers, it is not a sales platform. You’ve completely sold out. Your website is a complete joke. There is no meed to hit a user with all the Ads in one go. It makes no sense, the only clicks your advertisers are getting are accidental clicks, not real leads. Lose the Ads or lose all your users.

Reviews a game 4/10 (Cyberpunk) Reviews a game 4/10 (Cyberpunk), because certain systems can't handle it, "Xbox one & ps4" (base consoles). Gives no review of the actual game itself, story, game mechanics, world, character building, etc. Sure it has bugs & glitches that need to be addressed, which are all fixable. That's like reviewing a new car and giving it a 0/10 cause it didn't have gas in it...

Seems ign hires journalists instead of… Seems ign hires journalists instead of gamers to review games since of late and they have a biased point of view. To be able to write an article about à game you should have played à lot of them. Some games seriously dont deserve their ratings and are uterly underrated cause they are not triple A games. Just take "dead cells" review for exemple and you Will clearly see they hire any bunch of low lives.

Meh Reviews but Useful Guides Some of their reviews are wildly dishonest but plenty of their guides, especially on retro games, are well written. My brother used their spoiler free Chrono Trigger guide and I can confirm it was splendidly written.

Honest, Detailed Reviews - Unbiased I cannot recommend IGN enough compared to the competition. It is my opinion that they're honest, unbiased and certainly appear to enjoy games unlike some other sites! All of their new reviews have videos which is great to watch on my iPhone and these are kept to a sensible length. The news section is worth checking on a daily basis as is kept up-to-date. The only area of improvement which i'm sure they'll get to is more coverage of iPhone games..
