GBAVOID SIGNING IN. THEY WILL SCAM YOU I signed up for a promotion using my husband's credit card, and everything seemed fine on the first day. However, on the second day when I attempted to redeem the offer, the app stopped working, and they removed the promotion. Instead, they tried to charge me the full amount since my husband was already enrolled. To make matters worse, when I decided to cancel the subscription, they not only charged a cancellation fee but also billed me for the food I hadn't even received. The restaurant food portions are disappointingly small compared to the full price. I strongly recommend against signing up for this promotion, as it's not worth the trouble and expense

GBAwful service Awful service, no customer response at all. Have to pay to even see what they have, and be warned - they'll rob you of your meals if you don't keep subscribing. It's also extortionately overpriced - restaurants have a "mealpal" special, which is basically a bare-bones, skimpy version of anything they'd normally sell. The only exception is Patty & Bun, who offer a decent lunch, so if you're happy to eat burger & chips every day it's probably just about worth it. Though still more expensive than a daily McDonalds.

GBMealPal is a fantastic way to save money on a necessary expense MealPal is a fantastic way to save on a huge monthly expense: lunch. I work in New York City, where it's easy to spend $12-15/day on a salad. By signing up for MealPal, I was able to cut my per meal expenses in half. And with such a wide variety of participating restaurants nearby, I haven't had to sacrifice on healthiness, portion size, or variety. I highly recommend!

GBBad UX, dark patterns, not worth the cost Not only are the restaurants you get access to limited, along with the food options (mostly chicken), they charge your account without letting you know for months and refuse a refund. I’ve lost hundreds of dollars to this passive subscription. A terrible company with dark patterns all over their UX. Steer clear and avoid at all costs!

GBReview from a Long-Time User As someone who's used MealPal for several years, I've seen a change in value. Previously, lunch options often came under $7, making it a budget-friendly choice. However, they have introduced a complex credits-based scheme with hidden expiry terms. The savings are negligible once you factor in the deceptive tactics. When I did the math, I would have been better off purchasing lunch directly from the restaurants. Alternatively, seek out individual restaurant loyalty programs and opt in to their loyalty benefits instead. There is no risk, and you'll save more.
