If you cancel, they'll insist they can't give you a refund and will only give you a credit towards a future transaction. The customer support is horrible. Total ripoff.

Seamless rarely disappoints. I have used Seamless for 13 years now. They rarely disappoint and when that happens, it is usually the restaurant's fault and Seamless makes up for it. I have had wonderful experiences with Customer Service. The only thing that seems to have changed lately is that I haven't received a feedback request via text in a while and I think its due to sheer volume as a result of Covid-19.

But the app doesn't tell you this; it just suddenly and consistently tells you that your payment methods are invalid. I work in SaaS software engineering and I get it, they're trying to hide that they think fraud is occurring. But in 2023, it can't be that unusual to be in a new city every few months. And it takes an "escalation" to a department that is not immediate; it often takes several days to resolve. Well, their loss. I wonder how many people just give up when they experience this generic failure.

Call the Restaurant for Takeout This company charged me 25% more for pickup, as if it was delivery. That is ridiculous and when you ask to speak to customer service to cancel before you receive your order, they are rude and hang up. Then they take 30%+ commission from the restaurant.
