I was surprised that the bathroom showed lead in the water but not the kitchen, of my NYC apartment building - however, on the 2nd test of the kitchen and this time with the recommended carbon block filter, the kitchen also showed lead in the water. In an old Bronx building, it is well known to have the problem so the question is: why didn't the lead show up initially?

Excellent Water Quality Service Overall, very happy with the Tap Score process. Many detection options are offered and the reports are very detailed. The collection process is simple and non-technical. I've recommended Tap Score to friends. My one wish is that the "basic" tests were a bit more affordable. It would be nice to be able to do multiple lead tests, for example, for a more budget friendly price. There are lots of variables in water testing, and it can get expensive really quickly if you want to do multiple samples. One test is not necessarily enough to detect a problem.

The test results, which were delivered within the promised time frame, were clearly summarized with an over all score and broken down into chunks of data that helped make it clear to me what I was looking at. You don’t need to be an engineer to understand where your water falls on the continuum.
