About CG Fitness Retreats

CG Fitness Retreats was founded in 2019 by strength and conditioning coach Connor Gifford. Connor had a vision of travelling the world with like-minded, fitness enthusiasts and creating an experience like none other; delivering fitness and wellbeing sessions while experiencing new cultures and environments. The team now consists of expert trainers, with many years of experience from professional athletes to complete fitness beginners. Yoga instructors set the spiritual mood for the trip, with early morning meditation and yoga practices. Finally, private chefs, provide the team with fresh, culture-rich food from the local area! However this is not just a boot camp or training camp abroad, this is a time for you too, disconnect-breath- reconnect with yourself and your life. Expect lots of opportunities to explore, experience and laugh!

Excellent Pilates Classes I started Pilates with Claire because I was feeling a bit unstable when riding my horse and I’d had a few falls. Since joining the mat classes I have noticed a real difference in my core stability and all round strength and in my breathing regulation which has made a huge difference to my riding. I now feel more aware of my body and am able to maintain my position much better which has helped my confidence and my partnership with my horse, and this has helped me progress massively. I also feel healthier too and energised after each session. Thank you, Claire! I highly recommend x

The best fitness retreat ever! The retreat was amazing! The whole process was planned perfectly! The location/villa was beautiful and spacious. Amazing meals were provided which were carefully planned out to ensure we ate healthy, got all the proteins and nutrients we needed for training and also very filling! The classes were good fun with the whole group and suited for everyone as you work to your own ability with the coach there to help you push harder to reach your goals. PT sessions were amazing & the yoga sessions helped you to stretch after all the exercise! You still also had downtime to do what you wanted or activities were organised for fun afternoons out with the team! The retreat really works, I lost 5.5lbs in the first 4 days! The vibes were good and always positive. Honestly had the best time and would really recommend this to anyone. Definitely will be booking again in future!

Amazing CG Fitness Retreat The CG Fitness was my first fitness retreat abroad. As a mature reasonably fit person l was amazed at the amount of energy l got from all the exercises. Well planned out schedule Connor the PT trainer was there at hand to answer all queries regarding health and gave one to one personal training sessions. The group exercises were totally fun as you were inspired by others. On the flip side yoga was also added to the schedule so you could have a really good stretching session after invigorating gym session. We did core, abs, boxing, running, cycling, kayaking the list go on and on. The food was amazing all hand cooked from fresh natural ingredients by the amazing Flo The Chef. On the evening your time is your own to see the sights of Portugal as there are many things to do there. I would definitely recommend this trip with CG Fitness Retreat. Great bunch of people and l have walked away with life long gym friends. Connor the PT is an amazing thoughtful person who takes time out with you to explain what every exercise does to your body. Go try it and see you won't regret it.

CG fitness at its best My reservations and apprehensions were on top of my worry list when it came to this retreat as I just didn’t know what to expect and how I would perform either by myself or with the rest of the group and although I train with Connor anyway it’s a different experience when working with him on a one to one basis,s. But I can safely say the experience the environment and the whole atmosphere of the group and one to one sessions were amazing. The yoga 🧘‍♀️ I did for the very first time was a great experience something I would definitely recommend especially after a good workout 🏋️‍♀️. Working in a great surrounding with good weather was an added bonus. The food was exceptional and learned to cook in different ways. And definitely will be trying some recipes out Connor as always hard working, works at your pace and definitely would recommend anyone who is looking to better your health and have fun at the same time 😃
