About CG Fitness Retreats

CG Fitness Retreats was founded in 2019 by strength and conditioning coach Connor Gifford. Connor had a vision of travelling the world with like-minded, fitness enthusiasts and creating an experience like none other; delivering fitness and wellbeing sessions while experiencing new cultures and environments. The team now consists of expert trainers, with many years of experience from professional athletes to complete fitness beginners. Yoga instructors set the spiritual mood for the trip, with early morning meditation and yoga practices. Finally, private chefs, provide the team with fresh, culture-rich food from the local area! However this is not just a boot camp or training camp abroad, this is a time for you too, disconnect-breath- reconnect with yourself and your life. Expect lots of opportunities to explore, experience and laugh!

Best retreat ever The best experience ever, it was my first fitness retreat and I can’t wait to do the next one! The training sessions were challenging but very fun. Each session would vary between weights, cardio or boxing with Connor or yoga classes with Glenda. I met amazing new people who helped push everyone to do their best. The energy was great the whole week, everyone was so welcoming and easy to get on with. The food was beautiful, Flo was the best chef you could have asked for, every meal was so healthy and nutritious. The villa was amazing, it was so clean inside, everywhere was perfect. The villa had privacy and was in a location where you felt safe to walk to the shop or beach etc. I would 100% recommend CG Fitness Retreats to anyone, and I can’t wait to return ☺️ Thanks CG for the best week ❤️

Amazing fitness retreat!! The Portugal fitness retreat with CGFR has been truly amazing, each day planned out before our arrival, starting with a group session each day, head PT Connor put us through our paces with a variety of sessions from cardio to weights and boxing. This was followed by a delicious, filling and nutritious breakfast put together by the amazing chef Flo, all meals were cooked and prepared by him, taking into account the activities we had planned for the day to ensure we were getting the right foods to fuel our day. Every single person asked for the recipes at the end of the week to recreate at home and Flo gladly obliged. As well as group activities Connor provided 2 PT sessions for each of us, helping to achieve any goals that we had set not only for the week but to set us on the right path once the retreat was finished. Yoga instructor Glenda was on hand to help stretch out our tired muscles, happy to put on extra sessions when we needed it on top of those already planned in for the week, guiding us through the steps and meditation. Each afternoon there was time for excursions with the group, bringing us all together to get to know each other and experience what Portugal had to offer as a team. We also had free time to enjoy round the pool of the beautiful villa. A massive thank you to Connor, Flo and Glenda for an amazing week, can't wait to see you on the next one!!

Best Retreats!! Well where do I start!! This is my second year on the retreat and I'm honestly saying I'd love to them all in the future! The training was more intense(May be because the villa had a gym downstairs) 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 The little touches when we arrived T-shirt on beds and a little card with a QR to scan for pictures fantastic very impressive. The group where very welcoming and so lovely to get on The chef most definitely pulled it out the bag once again (but I knew he would look forward to the food) Conner you're doing amazing the training tips and training I loved in a crazy way sure got the adrenaline flowing. These retreats are going to grow. Finally the yoga which was just amazing and very refreshing Thankyou The villa this time was absolutely stunning loved everything about it too Thankyou once again guys

Best boot camp I've attended I don't generally write reviews but really wanted to comment on CG fitness Retreats. Such a great experience, this boot camp really works and worth every penny. Fab instructors friendly and great fun makes everyone feel welcomed. A great range of exercises and equipment. What a better place to exercise than out in the sunshine the location of the villa was good, not too far from beach in walking distance of stores. We also had nutrition tips and food workshops, food was excellent. If you are not used to going to the gym, instructors prepare you well. Did I say beautiful location and plenty of downtime for excursions or just to simply relax. I will definitely attend the next one and would recommend to friends, colleagues and family.

What a great experience! The CG Fitness Retreat was an amazing experience. It has really helped me physically and mentally. After covid it's been really hard to find motivation to eat well and exercise, I hadn't even realised how much I'd let work and life consume me. Being supported by Connor and Flo's expertise in training and nutrition as well as being surrounded by welcoming people really helped amplify the experience. Glenda was amazing, having not done much yoga before I didn't know how well I'd do. She was very accommodating for all abilities which helped me feel comfortable. The energy of the team was contagious, having free time for excursions and activities really helped the group bond. I will definitely be booking on again for future retreats. I'd 100% recommend to anyone!
