Very comfortable. I really felt relaxed at the sessions. What I was looking for were practical tips on clarity and i pledge to practice everyday. The therapist had practical knowledge on what he was teaching me. Also when he was making a point and we were past time, he still continued till he finished.

The billing process is convoluted as clients have to request a "Superbill" that is initiated by the therapist for clients to submit to insurance. Unfortunately, the therapists cannot answer questions about the billing invoice and only their personal name and address show on it. Insurance rejected my claims as they couldn't contact the company for verification. I resubmitted claims with Betterspeech.com's phone number and hope the claims are approved and that I will receive some covered reimbursement. The therapy itself was satisfactory.

I have the best speech therapist ever… I have the best speech therapist ever Mary Martineau. She took the time to make my speech therapy sessions fit my physical needs. I'm a five year throat cancer survivor and have speech as well as swallowing issues. I would recommend her and the company as a whole to anyone who is having difficulties in this area. ALS is a cruel disease ALS is a cruel disease. My mum is 83 and had great difficulty speaking and swallowing much of anything. Food was getting trapped in her throat and blocking her air way was happening more often. she battled for each breath. The riluzole did very little to help her. The medical team did even less. Not only did we work through many different kinds of memory tests and exercises together, but also she helped me gradually regain my confidence, so that I could restart daily activities such as driving.
