Horrible customer service Horrible customer service. I have called three times over a billing issue. I elected twice the call back feature (keep my place in line). Never a call back. When I call without latter, left on hold for over 40 mins, hung up.

My experience is congruent with all of… My experience is congruent with all of the other one-star (wish could put zero-star) experiences here. They have an F rating at the Better Business Bureau: "BBB files indicate that this business has a pattern of complaints. Specifically, consumers allege in their complaints to BBB they are being charged for services that should have been covered by their provided insurance. These consumers advise that their insurance is verified before the services are received from the business yet the consumer is billed. Consumers also allege having issues when working with the business on correcting the billing issues. Lastly, consumers claim to have a difficult time getting in touch with the business at their advertised phone number." Go to Reddit. Look at what employees and clients/patients have to say in forum after forum. Horrible! Title of an article: LifeStance: Company Creates Barriers to Mental Health Treatment, Cancels Appointments When Patients Refuse to Pay Amounts They Don’t Owe Title of another article: LifeStance Health: Vulnerable Mental Health Patients Burdened with Unwarranted Medical Debt from Company’s Billing Practices, Errors, and High Fees Another article, published in Feb, one that would interest investors, employees, and patients LifeStance: A Private Equity-Backed Mental Health Rollup Headed For A Breakdown. Very detailed. Makes it sound like employees and patients/clients may soon arrive for work/appointments, but the lights will be off, and nobody will be home--Ever again. Excellent Talk Therapy and Support Staff I have been seeing Therapist Melissa Short for a year now and she has been wonderful! She listens and asks questions. She has given me tools to use to help with anxiety and stress. I have had no issues with scheduling or with the billing department. Things have gone very smoothly for me!

No transparency, one step away from a scam LifeStance Health was the first mental healthcare provider I have made an appointment with. It was incredibly disappointing, the psychiatrist did not ask questions and the appointments would last no longer than fifteen minutes. However, they would charge me a Level-4 visit, which requires about 30-40 minutes with the patient, plus 20-30 minutes of write up required of the doctor. I can tell you that even if our meetings were 30-40 minutes long, there was no additional work done afterwards because there is no forms or write ups on my profile that I can access from my doctor. Medication was given fairly quickly but it did not feel like they were checking in on whether or not it worked - just billing me monthly for "providing medications" (which was bills on top of paying the pharmacy for medication). If you are even thinking of LifeStance, get ready for bills with no explanations on receipts and no transparency. I would receive bills randomly, months after my appointment so I couldn't even figure out what the reason for it was. They were never upfront how much it would cost either. For someone with anxiety and depression, having random bills appear made everything significantly worse mentally. I genuinely feel like they are taking advantage of people who are at a low point in their life. I had chosen LifeStance because their website looked the most professional out of all the providers in my area, but it was all a facade to cover up their sketchy practices.
