PHRude Customer Service Representatives Spoke to both customer service representatives regarding a claim number and they are both rude! They sound condescending and rude all throughout the call. They also sound as if they hate working. Those types of agents should be terminated. I even asked for a supervisor multiple times but they said there is none which is impossible. I want someone to contact me back as I want this to be escalated higher. Change the CSRs you outsource!

GBIf you’re on a specialty medication If you are on a specialty medication find another insurance. Cigna holds you hostage to Accredo, a company with 1star reviews which I 100% agree. Took 4 months to get my husbands med started and would not tell me what my final co pay would be until after they sent it so we’d be stuck with the max price…can’t return a medication. Still fighting with Accredo and spending lots of time doing so. Will be calling AGAIN today! Give alternative specialty pharmacy options. Will find new insurance asap just to get away from Accredo!

GBI wish I could give them 0 stars I wish I could give them 0 stars. I currently have terminal cancer. Unfortunately my cancer spread to my bones and I was in need of new chemotherapy, it took them months to approve. By the time it was approved, my cancer has progress massively to where the pain is unbearable. I have to sleep sitting down to get any shut eye. I can barely move my arm so my doctor sent me for radiation because of the severity of the pain and cancer in my bones. I have been waiting weeks and cigna will not approve my radiation. I've gone months without treatment, everyday getting closer to death and they do nothing to approve my treatment. What I'm getting from this is that since I've already met my deductible and coinsurance they're just pretty much waiting for me to die at this point in order for them not to have to pay for anything. These people are literally killing me.

GBThey don’t cover anything and are very… They don’t cover anything and are very expensive. Stay clear of this insurance company. It would be better just to pay out of pocket and save yourself the premiums.

PHGood Faith I live in the northern Philippines on the island of Luzon. I have been a Cigna Global Health Insurance individual policyholder for the last seven years. Last month, I was diagnosed with bladder cancer and had to have a procedure, known as a TURBT. I did it at a local out-of-network hospital near where I live. Prior to doing so, I contacted Cigna and was told that my out-of-pocket-expenses would be fully reimbursed in accordance with the terms of my policy. This was done without issue. I received the entire reimbursement, deposited directly into my bank account. It’s now a month later and I need to repeat the same procedure. This time, I will be doing it at one of the best (and, also, most expensive) hospitals in the Philippines, St. Luke’s in Quezon City, Manila. St. Luke’s is an in-network hospital that Cigna deals with directly. The cost will be twice as much as the first hospital. St. Luke’s international patient unit has been coordinating with the Cigna medical unit assigned to assist me with and, also, sign off on my treatment and hospital admittance. I am due to be admitted today. Cigna has just issued a Guarantee of Payment letter to the hospital, which relieves me of any worries about the bill being paid or my claim being denied. I felt compelled to post my Cigna experience in large part because of the overwhelming number of negative and angry comments about Cigna that have been made on this site. After reading some of those reviews during my first hospital stay, they caused me considerable anxiety and worry over what I might be facing now that I was sick and would be using my Cigna health insurance for the first time. My experience with Cigna contradicts all those negative reviews. These last six weeks have been the worst in my life. Cigna, however, deserves nothing but high praise. The company’s representatives have taken an active part in taking care of my health coverage and offering additional support, when the most precious thing I possess, my health, is being assailed. Cigna, its medical staff and customer service phone reps, have been nothing but great. I am very appreciative. Thank you.
