GBI bought a pair of Quest boots from… I bought a pair of Quest boots from Kuru about two years ago. The stitching on the uppers failed about the third time I wore them. The company sent me new pair under the warranty and told me to keep the first pair. I repaired the stitching myself an saved the second pair for later use. Eventually after about 6 months the stitching in the first pair failed completely although there was no discernible wear to the soles. I started wearing the second pair and within about 6 months or so the stitching started to fail again eventually completely. These boots were not inexpensive but they are of extremely poor quality. Camilla at Kuru could do nothing to make this right. I have a pair of American made hiking boots that I have had for twenty years . The soles are badly worn but not a single stitch has failed. These, unfortunately are of cheap Chinese construction.

CAIf you are ordering in Canada, you will get nailed with an exorbitant duty fee! Horrendous. I was hit with an $87 charge on top of the already expensive shoes I ordered because KURU does nothing to address customs and duty fees for their customers. They don't make this clear during checkout and know you're just going to get nailed with this fee when it arrives, and they do not provide any cooperation to cover fees or reimburse. They are intentionally misleading and do not provide this information during checkout. I love these shoes and used to recommend these to everyone I know but this is the last time I will ever order from here.

GBPackage lost Package lost. Transferred three times to finally be told that I’d have to file a claim with UPS which could take 1 - 7 days as they considered the package lost (already had been waiting for delivery for 2 weeks at this point). Asked for expedited pair of slippers to be sent in place of lost package and was told this was not possible. Again redirected to UPS for claim filing. Went ahead and disputed charge with my credit card company. Will never buy from Kuru again.

CAKurucanada.com is a fraudulent website Kurucanada.com is a fraudulent website. Do not purchase from them. I made the mistake of purchasing a pair of shoes and immediately was suspicious so I reached out to Kuru in the USA and they told me they are not affiliated with this Canadian website and to contact my credit card company asap!!!

GBIncorrect shipping policy and long waits for service I ordered a pair of sandals with expedited shipping, and 3 days later, checked the order and it hadn't shipped. I tried online chat and it was not working. So after a 30 minute hold on the phone, i spoke to a customer service rep who told me that the shoes are not going to be shipped expedited because of some issue with the warehouse or location. Why I had to call to find this out is unacceptable service for the year 2024, for shoes that cost $150+. I cancelled the order altogether since the shoes wont arrive in time for my trip, and I will have to seek out a different brand. The rep I spoke to was nice, but the organization itself needs a lot of work.
