So helpful! My favorite aspect of tot squad was how booking an appointment with coaches was so quick and easy! There were multiple dates and times that could easily work with anyone's busy schedule and booking took me less than 5 minutes to complete. My coach Ilona was prompt, kind and so so very helpful! During my session coach Ilona reviewed my concerns, answered all my questions, and gave me excellent tips on how to help my extremely picky 3 year old more motivated to eat different foods. I would definitely use Tot Squad again and highly recommend it to all parents.

Great service, just not for me Tot squad is a modern and up to date way for all nursing mom's to get advice, help and support especially during tough times such as these. It was super easy to schedule online a time and date to make an appointment to meet over zoom. My coach was good but honestly I can't say she helped me in particular much. During video call, she told me because she's not seeing me in person, there is not much she can help with. Being a 3rd time nursing mama, I think I honestly helped myself more than the appointment helped me. I kind of wish I learned something new or helpful tips to fixing my nursing issue. At the end, she kindly offered to send me links and information on breastfeeding that I already researched online myself from before. Therefore, this was my least favorite part about the video call. I can't say I learned much but maybe this was just my experience. I think if I was a first time mom and didn't have access to a lactation consultant this would be convenient and very beneficial. The other thing for me personally is that I do not feel comfortable nursing my son over the internet on a video chat with a stranger. Moving forward, I doubt I would use this service but I would still recommend it to my girlfriend who may need help or advice from an experienced lactation consultant and who is comfortable on the internet.

Great feeding support The Tot Squad helped answer all my questions about starting solids with my baby. It was easy to book a call with the Tot Squad and easy to find a time that suited me. My coach was informative and answered all my questions about baby led weaning. She also provided additional resources for me reference. If I had more specific questions or my baby had issues with solid foods, I would definitely use Tot Squad again. My favorite aspect of the Tot Squad was the ease of booking an appointment and meeting via video chat. Thanks to the Stellar Panel for connecting me to the Tot Squad.

Helpful information I found my visit with TotSquad helpful and it was a comfortable and relaxing setting being able to have the virtual call from home. I was pleasantly surprised by the ease of scheduling my appointment and that I could pretty much pick any time of day to schedule it (even on weekends and evenings). I received the TotSquad session from the Stellar Panel and chose the allergy prevention topic as my oldest child does have food allergies. As a parent of a child with food allergies (and also a dietitian myself), I saw this visit as more of a review session for my youngest (who is just starting on solid foods) and wouldn't say that I necessarily learned any new tips. However, could see this as very helpful to first time parents. The coach I met with seemed to be knowledgable in the topic and also emailed references and handouts after the call, which was much appreciated. She also did touch on other topics and asked if I had any other questions regarding breastfeeding or introducing solids.

A swing and a miss... I learned about Tot Squad through the Stellar Product testing panel. Originally, this service was offered for $50 with a $50 gift card back, so there was nothing to lose and I was excited to try it out. I love the idea of this service, but in all honesty, it was a major miss and that’s coming from someone who hates to be critical of new businesses. Purchasing the service was easy. Scheduling the appointment was fairly easy, although the scheduling form was a bit confusing because it referenced different time zones. I was able to give information about what I was hoping to get out of the 20 minute appointment, so I was excited to get my questions addressed. The appointment was a complete disappointment. First, the appointment is 20 minutes long. You can’t do much in 20 minutes especially if you exchange pleasantries and my coach was a few minutes late. The services totes itself as a video consult, yet, my coach didn’t stream video. Instead, I stared at a photo of her. Our visit was riddled with connection issues and I had to strain to hear and understand what she was saying which resulted in a ton of talking over each other and even more lost time. She was very sweet and seemed to be knowledgeable, but didn’t address any of the things I had inquired about but instead focused on my son’s reluctance to bottle feed (it was a starting solids appointment). I appreciated her suggestions, but it wasn’t what I paid for or was looking for. Quite frankly, I suspect that pretty much any of the information you can get through any of these consults you can get through your pediatrician or a lactation consultant for far less money if you have insurance, or in some cases can find with a simple internet search for free. My experience was not worth $50, and maybe not even worth $10 to be honest. I just kept thinking how upset I would have been if I would have paid for it. I think the service could be good, but would take some serious overhauling such as lengthening the time but not increasing the cost, figuring out a way to solve connection issues or just do phone based appointments and offer packages with the same provider so a relationship can be established...I think this would work better as an ongoing mentoring type of service as opposed to a one time appointment. Bottom line: skip it and seek this information through your child’s doctor as a first option!
