GBDo not use Hear.com I was so happy to get my hearing aids and Hear.com was amazing through the sales process and when my devices would not charge during the 45 day trial they were quick to overnight new units to solve the issue. As soon as the 45 day trial ended everything changed. I have now been without working devices for over 2 weeks and cannot get hear.com to care. I have asked to speak to a supervisor and been told "no one is available" only to not receive calls back or help in anyway. I am a cash pay patient so I paid full price for these and it was a huge mistake to use this company.

GBHorizon IX hearing aids - life changing (for the better!) At a young 70 years, I was tired of constantly asking family and friends to repeat themselves, and I knew that my experience in nature walking and birding had degraded due to high frequency hearing loss. I had been considering hearing aids for a couple of years, tried some disappointing OTC ones, and just wasn't ready to pull the trigger. Then a few weeks ago, my wife and I met with some old friends. We see them every few months, and this time we went for a nature walk in the local arboretum. I noticed (barely) that my friend was wearing barely-noticeable in-the-ear aids and I asked him about them. He said he'd been wearing them for three years! And - that I should get some... I contacted Hear.com and was contacted back by Lori - who besides being incredibly helpful, was very friendly too. We got me set up and she sent a set of the latest Horizon IX aids to a local audiologist. Again, a very pleasant experience with a patient and very knowledgeable professional, and I was good to go. The breakin period with hearing aids is generally supposed to be sort of gradual, but I jumped right in - 10 hours the first day, and full days thereafter. My immediate reaction is that - Wow! I can hear all the high-frequency bird songs that I've been missing. I can hear my wife. I can even hear the annoying buzzes and hums from various computers, etc. that my wife constantly complains about! The aids are practically invisible (over the ear). They don't interfere at all with glasses or ball caps. They are easy to insert and remove and charge in their own little case. In short, these really are life-changing. I didn't even think my hearing loss was all that severe, but these really make living in the country far more delightful than before, with even the relaxing sound of the wind in the trees now being a part of my life again! Further, the techie in my is really enjoying the exploration of what these tiny devices are capable of. Music streaming from my Android phone - with my hearing correction dialed in? You bet. Full hands-free phone conversations via Bluetooth? Yep. Even controlling volume and special functions with my phone - to turn off the sound and play relaxing surf sounds is possible. My advice is - if you're sitting on the fence, just do it. With a free trial period there's nothing really to lose and you'll hopefully have an experience like mine.

GBSkeptical....at first Saw an ad and was skeptical that an"online" hearing aid would work. Very pleasantly surprised to be proved wrong. Exceptional service and a great hearing aid. I am very happy and would highly recommend hear.com

GBI have worked with Renee Wade-Barrent… I have worked with Renee Wade-Barrent at the North Fort Myers office. She has provided excellent service at each visit. Her introduction to using hearing devices was clear and complete. I had a problem with one device which she diagnosed and resolved. I have tech experience and she provided with good suggestions for getting the most from the devices. A gracious lady with a good sense of humor. She is a solid professional.
