About Eyeglassesdepot

EyeglassesDepot.com started in 2007 as a new department of our retail designer eyeglasses and sunglasses business. Quickly we realized that our customers not only shop for new prescription lenses and new frames, they also ask us the popular question "Can this be fixed?". Tired of telling customers NO, we decided to explore the idea of repair rather then replacement. In late 2007 we remodeled the second floor of our office and hired the staff that today runs our laboratory. Our two lab technicians have combined over 17 years of expert experience in the field of optometry, eyewear repair and eyewear sales.

Complain to NYC Dept of Consumer & Worker Protection I have had a very negative experience with this company similar to many other complaints/reviews I have read. After trying to deal (unsuccessfully) with the company I contacted the NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection and filed a complaint. The DCWP tried reaching out to eyeglasses depot with no success and because my complaint was the only one on this co with the department, I was told there wasn't anything they could do based on ONE complaint. So, I am asking that each and everyone who sees this and feel that they were scammed by this business will do the same. Vitaly Borker of EyeGlassesDepot.Com Arrested and Charged with Fraud Vitaly Borker, apparently IS the guy who owns and operates EyeGlassesDepot.com. He was arrested and charged last week. Again with fraud. Already convicted twice and jailed twice. Hopefully the third time will end his criminal career. Google ABC News "notorious-eyecare-fraudster-nabbed-3rd-time-fraud-charges"

This is my second posting This is my second posting. A few days ago, this business sent me a harassing email requesting that I return material that were never used in the repair job, then calling me a thief. I requested that they stop contacting me, they immediately sent another harassing email. I can't stress this enough, STAY AWAY!!!!!

This place is a scam This place is a scam. A two year old could have done a better job repairing my glasses. Now my glasses are beyond repair and they want to charge me more money to fix them. I wish I would have come across this site before I used this company. I understand they are being investigated for false positive reviews. They still have my glasses and have not resolved this issue but still want to charge me $180.

I mashed my glasses i just received my broken glasses back from eyeglassdepot. i followed all instructions, sent them in after a representative checked my photograph of the broken temples, received notice that they had them and forwarded them to their repair people, and notice they were on their way back to me. i opened the little envelope contained them, put them on, and, wow just like new again thanks so much!
