GBOrigins that were never suspected From the time I received the instructions and materials, and then mailed it in, I looked forward to finding out what would be in my DNA. Part of what I found out from my DNA wasn't a surprise. I knew there was Irish from both parents. The surprise was in my mother. Her maiden name is Schiller, which is German. We had always thought there was German in her line. But the DNA found no German at all. Plus, there were many other nationalities that had never been suspected. It was all very exciting and interesting!

GBBuyer beware!! Buyer beware!! Poor customer service. Company demonstrates no accountability. While when you activate your test kit, it says results can take six to eight weeks, true, however they send text messages with erroneous information and do not update their dashboard, SO, be prepared to call, multiple times to get any kind of an actual update, other than results are taking longer anticipated. My little girl has been waiting for a while to get these results with zero update to the estimated receipt of your results. Just use another company.

GBStrange things were happening to my… Strange things were happening to my account on ancestry.Someone is sharing multiple copies of the same records to my sources in my trees. I delete them next day there back. They won't stop I report it to Ancesty. I am wasting time deleting these records. Ancestry blames me said it is because I accept a member tree hint. I then shut off member tree hints. Someone shares a 1930 obituary to present to my personal profile source. I delete it. It comes back over and over. I start to think someone might be sending me a threatening message. Ancestry has no explanation. I reported the obituary to ancestry they make a report. I don't need the stress so I decided to delete all my trees and stop my membership. Every time I deleted a tree a message would pop up you can't delete this tree it doesn't belong to you

GBAnswering Multiple Needs It all started with a combination of a need to digitize my old family photos, scan birth/marriage/death certificates, and find a way to illustrate the mesh of our family trees. Then came the interest in a DNA test to see what that might confirm. We have births, marriages, divorces, re-marriages, pre-mature and old age deaths, adoptions and guardianships to cover. Ancestry seemed to have it all covered, combined with the Photomyne app to simplify the photo album coverage. The hints are phenominal… just like a treasure hunt. Being able to use it across computer, tablet and phone platforms (Apple in my case) made it very versatile, and provided a great road trip exercise recently. I’m excited to reveal the findings so far to my family, that has now spread its wings across three continents. Thank you for providing an excellent tool.
