Constant spam emails were not appropriate The amount of advertising email and spam from ancestry.com was ridiculous. While we were waiting on the results we were bombarded with spam email from ancestry. We have already purchased the service. The constant request for upgraded packages and more money was not appropriate.

Buyer beware!! Buyer beware!! Poor customer service. Company demonstrates no accountability. While when you activate your test kit, it says results can take six to eight weeks, true, however they send text messages with erroneous information and do not update their dashboard, SO, be prepared to call, multiple times to get any kind of an actual update, other than results are taking longer anticipated. My little girl has been waiting for a while to get these results with zero update to the estimated receipt of your results. Just use another company.

I was bought the test by someone else… I was bought the test by someone else and it was not possible for me to transfer it to my self without having to phone and be talked through the process. The website was far too confusing. I was very pleased with the detail of the results but once again I found it very difficult to navigate round the e-mail I was sent. You should learn the benefit of clarity in your IT department.

Ancestry and the Pandemic Ancestry was the answer for me during the pandemic. I couldn’t see my friends and family like I wished so that’s when I got to know my ancestors! I am still enjoying and getting better in my research and following the correct lineage. It has been my go to or way to get away from some of the clutter that sometimes surrounds us all!!

The membership -it took so long for… The membership -it took so long for results that over half the membership is over. The membership should not start till the DNA is complete. The military fold is hard to use and did not work for us. I have done a different DNA test and it seem to be quicker and easy to navigate.
