Harriet sewing desk is a winner I ordered the Harriet sewing desk. The shipment arrived quickly. The piece is of good quality, attractive and well-designed, and was actually fun to put together. The instructions are very clear and carefully drawn. It took several hours, with the help of another person for part of the time. The trickiest part was installing the hydraulic lift arm, but I did that on my own and it is working well. The drawer handles and other hardware on the cabinet are quite attractive, and the caster wheels work well. There was a tiny crack on one drawer back piece, and even though it didn't show and was probably insignificant to the strength of the drawer, the company replaced it immediately at no cost to me. I received the replacement part in 2 days. Be aware that the quilting extender that goes to the back of the desk is not included. It costs extra, and at this point only comes in the wood color, not the white.

Website is easy to navigate and if… Website is easy to navigate and if Sewing Parts doesn’t have what you are looking for, it isn’t made. I actually have today returned the part as between ordering and receiving I have purchased a new machine, so I didn’t need this part. Their return process is easy as pie

I have ordered from Sewingpartsonline… I have ordered from Sewingpartsonline several times and every time the experience has been positive. They tend to have the best normal prices, honor or offer the discounts that manufacturers are showing at the time of order and then provide quick order fulfillment and shipping. Just a great company!

Fails its customers I agree with the reviewer regarding their return policy. It is a joke and only favors their company. They are not easy returns. They start with boilerplate responses and always want a ‘technician’ to look at the defective products they sell and then charge you to return the item for their discretionary assessment or deduct their shipping charge from whatever discretionary credit they offer if you received free shipping. Mine was a dangerously flawed rotary cutter they first suggested I adjust. It’s designed to cut through 6 layers of fabric. Customers should not have to deal with fixing defects. You will never recoup the cost of what you paid if you return anything to them. They are an example of all around bad business practice and fail at customer service. Better to file a complaint with the state attorneys general and let consumer affairs investigate.
