(like it's going to magically appear, as we are already past the shipping delay announced) Well, i'm not the one shipping internationally, and not asking for a tracking number. Just run, it's a scam.

A once Wonderful Bookseller No More. I had been buying hard-to-find books, books out of print, and books published by certain publishers. I was satisfied with the company. However, over several months, the quality of ABE Books has become abysmal. They have changed their GUI, and now it is impossible to contact anyone. They are painfully slow, and customer service has become nonexistent. They fail to vet their sellers like they once did; several sellers should be dismissed from the site. Evidently, I am in search of a quality book seller.

The Place to Buy Books. Have been buying through abebooks since at least 2002. In over a hundred orders I have never had a problem. A time or two, I have wished that a particular bookseller had packed the books more carefully, but that is the exception. Some of the bad reviews posted here would be avoided if buyers would learn to read the listing. There are a number of large national booksellers that list on abe. That is fine, and their prices can be very competitive. However, their descriptions are often general and not specific to the copy that you may be interested in. In those cases, expect the condition to be on the lower end, and hope to be pleasantly surprised (it happens). Also, many books are listed with a stock photo, not the actual book that is for sale. If it is labeled "stock photo", pay attention. That is not the book that you are buying. If you are in doubt, contact the seller. Their response will be a clue as to whether you want to deal with them.

Save yourself the headache and use ThriftBooks.com Item was listed in good condition mentioned that it came with the CD but did not include the CD. Customer service took 5-7 days to respond and still failed to answer my question after I asked and readied. Shipping was very slow. Will never be purchasing from them again.
