Bait and switch This is a terrible way to get books. I have only used it twice and as it turns out the second time will also be a negative experience. First I ordered an out of print book . Cost over 50 $. What I received was a trashy romance novel, used, in poor shape and not the book about Nazis in LA. now I atemted to order Percival Everett's book I am not Sidney Portier but when the order was complete it gave me some other title I was neither looking for nor attemted to order. I am really irritated. Every time they replace a high price item with something of considerably less value. Will never use them again. Use thriftbooks instead Always a good experience.

I've never received any books I've never received any books, and they refuse to reimburse me saying "oh there's no tracking number available for your order so just wait". (like it's going to magically appear, as we are already past the shipping delay announced) Well, i'm not the one shipping internationally, and not asking for a tracking number. Just run, it's a scam.

I needed full music and returned it the next day costing about £9 for Royal Mail tracked. I’ve had several replies to my request for a refund all saying it’s on its way. Now about 2 months later nothing has been refunded. I’m having one more try but don’t expect I’ll get my refund. Will not use them again.

A once Wonderful Bookseller No More. I had been buying hard-to-find books, books out of print, and books published by certain publishers. I was satisfied with the company. However, over several months, the quality of ABE Books has become abysmal. They have changed their GUI, and now it is impossible to contact anyone. They are painfully slow, and customer service has become nonexistent. They fail to vet their sellers like they once did; several sellers should be dismissed from the site. Evidently, I am in search of a quality book seller.

My experience is likely unique My experience is likely unique. Aside from the slow delivery, the book arrived jammed into a bag that was too small for the book. When I attempted to remove the book, the dust cover was torn because the bag was as tight as a second skin around the book. Nothing can be done because the damage is my doing, however, it's also not OK the way the book was packaged for shipment.
