I ordered 12 books from them I ordered 12 books from abebooks. Four of them never arrived after waiting over three weeks. And despite the sellers assurances that they would arrive by a certain date. Even now I can’t order the books from another seller because Abebooks is insisting on giving their irresponsible sellers another week to cure. I will never do business with abebooks again. They apparently have absolutely no concern for the quality of the booksellers they do business with or for the people that buy them.

A once Wonderful Bookseller No More. I had been buying hard-to-find books, books out of print, and books published by certain publishers. I was satisfied with the company. However, over several months, the quality of ABE Books has become abysmal. They have changed their GUI, and now it is impossible to contact anyone. They are painfully slow, and customer service has become nonexistent. They fail to vet their sellers like they once did; several sellers should be dismissed from the site. Evidently, I am in search of a quality book seller.

I would do negative 5 stars if I could I would do negative 5 stars if I could. I was about to buy a book set that was listed at $101.00. I emailed them about a price drop. Within that time frame. AbeBooks went and hiked up the price to $250.00. Then AbeBooks had the nerve to email an explanation “Book prices can fluctuate based on various factors such as their perceived value, rarity, and demand in the market” I watched that book sit at $100 up until the day I emailed them about it. I’m pretty sure that is bait n switch which is illegal. DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT PURCHASING FROM ABEBOOKS.com unless you want to get scammed!!!

My experience is likely unique My experience is likely unique. Aside from the slow delivery, the book arrived jammed into a bag that was too small for the book. When I attempted to remove the book, the dust cover was torn because the bag was as tight as a second skin around the book. Nothing can be done because the damage is my doing, however, it's also not OK the way the book was packaged for shipment.

Latin Breviary I bought Latin Breviary from Germany. It came with the unacceptable condition. I returned it the German seller who replied that it came to the custom office and he has no car to pick up. And Returned book to me again!!! Wow, the the seller returns returned book to the buyer and keeps my $200. The customer service closed on my request.
