Misleading product description… Misleading product description necessitated a return. They could care less. Did not provide return shipping label. Avoid this company like the plague!

Web page charges incorrectly/warehouse sends wrong merchandise I ordered honey jars from PMT in full compliance with their webpage. I live out of state and decided to take a long (2 hr one way) drive to pick up the jars in the store. I clicked Store Pickup on the web page and selected a date/time for pickup. Upon arrival, they had jars from the warehouse, ready to go. Unfortunately, they were the WRONG jars. It took about an hour of standing around but a fine young man went to the warehouse and got the correct jars. Ok, a wasted hour after driving 2 hours isn't that big of a deal (I guess). The next day I received a phone call from the manager of PMT saying that I left without paying GA sales tax. I reminded her that I paid online and their computer software did not charge me. To me, she was putting the onus on me, saying that I left without paying the sales tax. I told her that if they were supposed to have charged tax I would have paid it, but they never said anything about it and their store website did not charge it either. I was subsequently emailed an invoice with a note to "Pay within 24 hrs". As frustrating as this is, I always try to do the right thing, so I paid the invoice within the time limit. I had problems getting an order correct last year too. Time to find another bee supply store.

I ordered a bee package which came to… A terrible company to work with. I ordered a bee package which came to me damaged and with dead bees. I notified Pigeon Mountain Trading Company of what I had encountered and they made a claim with the post office and refused to compensate me for the damaged package and dead bees. They got the money from the post office, which I understand was around 499.00 and I lost 190.00 dealing with Pigeon Mountain Trading Company. Buyer beware they will not do any refunds. They just ignore your emails to get things set right. I dealt with Lori Jackson to be specific. The claim is not my claim, the claim is yours with the post office. The post office told me that you insured the package for just under 500.00 so I assumed that it was for 499.00 since anything over 500.00 would have incurred a steeper charge. You could have compensated me long ago. Like I said this is your claim with the post office. I went through all of the steps to insure that you would have a valid claim. You have had more than enough time to compensate me for my loss since it was your shoddy packaging being damaged that led to the bees being put in a bag in the first place. Like I have said this is your claim with the post office, not mine. You should have compensated me months ago. Crappy customer service.

Upon arrival Upon arrival, over 2/3s of the bees were dead. The size of the bees were about the size of my fist, perhaps a little smaller. I am hoping to take some of my brood from another hive as they haven't seemed to be able to gain much ground but with the probiotics and bee pollen and feeder, they are maintaining themselves.

Find a new shipper This is no reflection on the service of pigeon mountain. I give the postal service 1 star for service, my bees were 4 days late, their food had been dumped out and the bees were coming out of the crate when they arrived. Of the half that were left, half of them were dead. The remaining bees that have managed to survive have done a wonderful job at building the colony back up. They have 3 full frames full of brood in less than a month. We are disappointed that we basically have to start with a smaller colony than we expected. The bees that survived (aprox 2000) are doing great tho.
