Unless properly manufactured, the down can come with a bad smell. These were all perfect and bed ready. And the outer shell is made of great fabric. GBThe comforter is great The comforter is great. I ordered the medium weight, and probably should have gotten the lightweight. Still, it is really nice and my husband really likes it. His legs never get cold anymore.
