The appeal of the knives was what… The appeal of the knives was what caught our attention, and the price seemed good. I'm not someone that knows anything about knife weight and whatever other characteristics people care about, so I can't leave an educated review on the effectiveness of the knives; however, what they did do is make me want to cook more, and actually do it well, and those are two qualities of cooking I've never been inspired to improve at. I don't know why having a few of these knives in my kitchen would make such a difference, but it's gotten me reading books, which is a feat in itself. Thanks Forged Blade, you make awesome stuff!

They stay sharp are awesome for cutting vegetables and onions! Easy touch up good to go! The best nothing sticks to blade!

High-quality knives I'm absolutely thrilled with the Explorer set! The santoku knife and chef's knife are both fantastic and allow me to slice through meats and veggies like butter. The bread knife is also excellent and slices through everything from crusty bread to juicy tomatoes. The wooden handles are beautiful and comfortable to grip, and the set comes in a sleek and stylish package that really impresses. The only downside is that I wish the explorer collection included steak knives as well. The filet knife I received seem to be… The filet knife I received seem to be high quality I may be spoiled as I bought shun kitchens knives and the filet knife isn't a third the price but mine was very dull and the shuns were so much sharper maybe mine slipped by but in the future I would like to see a sharper one if I buy another
