We have used E&G for over 15 years but… We have used E&G for over 15 years but when our aga developed a problem in early December we were offered an engineer visit in mid-January. I explained that this would ruin Christmas but that made no difference. I subsequently found an engineer more local to us who came out within 24 hours and fixed the problem. He also resolved a long standing problem that the E&G engineers had ignored for years. And he was 40% cheaper!

The rudest people you will ever deal with There is a real reason these people have not got a good review on trustpilot. We spend £13,000 on an aga with these people. The aga wasn’t the one ordered, it came scratched, the induction hob was an issue, they replaced that but caught a wire, blew the electrics, blew a washing machine, left us without use of the appliance for several weeks as they are very much in demand. None of that was their fault. In fact nothing is ever their fault. 12 months later we have an oven that has rust that you might expect to see on an oven that is 30 years old. Turns out they put the vent on upside down. Aga confirmed that was E&Gs fault but they deny it and as they have he worst customer service you can imagine it is like speaking to a very rude 5 year old. Not their fault, they don’t like being accused, they will be nasty. Lovely. Avoid E & G at all costs.

I have used Edwards and Godding… I have used Edwards and Godding for.years, in the last 18 months it has taken 10 days to 2 weeks to get an engineer. My heating broke down about the beginning of October, it took approx 2 weeks to get an engineer , I also arranged a full service . Within a month the heating packed up and there was a strong smell of fuel, it took about 10 days to get the engineer out, after spending £277 barely a month ago I was shocked to get another bill for £127 . Barely 2 days later I received a call asking when I would be paying the invoice. I had barely put down the phone before our Rayburn broke down , no heating and hot water or cooking again. They said they would come out on the Wednesday ( 6 days ) however in the meantime my husband wrote a short review on Google, they wrote and said they were upset, and they were removing me from their books and cancelled the apointment . In retrospect, it was a good thing, a friend recommended an independent engineer, he came out repaired the leak ( supposedly repaired previously) sorted out the pump asked when it was last servicesd, and was surprised when I said last monrh. He fixed it in half the time and charged me half the E&G price and...It's still working.

WARNING WARNING - grossly overcharges for parts. A part that could be purchased retail for less than £20 was charged at almost £60. Be very careful.
