GBAsk for signature on delivery Great selection. Great quality. Complaint is about shipping. I paid $60 for FedEx and there was no specification that a very expensive light should be signed for. It was dumped in a basement mail room and went missing for several days. This was not mail. It was FedEx and should have at least been brought to my door. I blame FedEx and shipper for not specifying the package ($600 light!) should have been handled more carefully.

GBLove the lights Love the lights! They were everything we expected. Hated the flimsy bracket. It bent under the weight of the light, pulling the fixture off the wall by about an eighth of an inch. There’s nothing I could do to fix it. Also, for the amount of money we spent on these lights there should’ve been an assortment of different screws lengths . I had to grind the screws to length in order to attach the bracket to the electrical box. What should’ve taken 15 minutes, took more than an hour.

GBShipping costs are high. I ordered two vanity sconces from the website. They were described as aged brass/satin opal. When I received them they were very brassy and unfortunately would not match the aged brass accessories that I have already installed in my new bathroom. The quality was very good but they didn’t look like the finish in the photo (which is understandable ~ it IS hard to tell the color from a photo). The problem is the original cost of shipping was $30 and it cost another $20 to ship them back. So basically I paid $50.00 for the hassle of purchasing online and then shipping back the product. I have nothing to show for my $50 investment and still have to replace the sconces. I would have considered ordering a different style of sconces from Shades of Light but it is too risky to take the chance that they too may be the wrong brass and then I would be out additional shipping costs. Buyer beware you are not refunded original shipping costs and you have to pay high costs to ship through their designated shipping service.

GBNew Fan After having our living room fan for over a year it began to make a strange sound anytime it was on. My husband called Shades of Light and within a week we had a replacement from the manufacturer, at no cost to us. Our customer service agent, Alexus C., was very responsive, knowledgeable, and so helpful. The experience of having to replace the fan after only a year was disruptive however the process to get a new fan was so easy. Thank you!

GBThe shipping was great The shipping was great, the packing was well done, nothing was missing or broken. The glass fixtures seem to appear smaller in the picture than in reality. There was no measurement for the three glass fixtures. Its beautiful, but since I have a small bathroom, its a bit of a squeeze with the three huge glass fixtures. Regardless, I'm very happy with my new bathroom vanity lamp.
