About Hobo the Original

Established in Annapolis, Maryland, in 1991, the brand Hobo’s origins lie within the craft of leather. When Toni Ray, creative force behind the legendary ’70’s D.C. leather shop, Georgetown Leather, founded the brand with her daughter, Koren Ray, they wanted to keep the company firmly grounded in the belief that our possessions should reflect our journey. Raised on the road in a VW bus, and spending time under the craft bench as her mother worked in her iconic shop, Koren learned first-hand to create with beauty, soul, and purpose. As Hobo thrives as a second generation, privately-owned and family-operated brand, Koren and her husband, David Brewer, focus on creating beautiful, authentic leather goods that are made to last. They stay true to their passion and enduring design philosophy with hand-picked leathers, timeless designs, flawless functionality, and a nostalgic tribute to the methods and soul of the 70’s, creating bags that only get better with age.

I can't say enough good things about… I can't say enough good things about this company! I absolutely love everything about their products, the leather is such high quality and anytime I've had a question or issue their customer service has been quick to help. Their summer products just came out and I've already ordered two more bags for my collection - everyone needs a hobo bag!!

Wonderful product--well worth the investment! I have four hobo bags and two hobo wallets and I love them all! The leather is beautiful and of high quality. I love the embellishments and the decorative interior. I also like supporting a small, family-owned business.

I purchased a bag I purchased a bag. The next day it went on sale. They refused to honor the sale price. I had to reorder the bag. I received the first bag and it was complete junk to say it nicely. I returned it. The second one I returned as well. They refused to refund me shipping charges. The quality of the bags would be equivalent to something a teenager would purchase at Walmart. These bags probably cost them pennies to make and they're selling them for hundreds of dollars.

Terrible Smell And Not Eligible for Return I bought the "Moon" vintage purse at hobobags.com and am so disappointed! The worst thing about the purse is the terrible smell, that I assume is from the chemicals used to treat the leather. The other disappointment is that when I attempted to return the purse, I was informed in was not eligible for return. Not being eligible for return was not indicated when I bought the purse. Also, the customer service was terrible, in that they provide a phone number to call, but you are instructed to use their website or leave a message.

I purchased a Hobo wristlet in a… I purchased a Hobo wristlet in a boutique in Sebastopol, CA. After one month of use, the wristlet. After only one month of use, the strap broke. Hobo will not send me a replacement until I send them the broken one, but they also will not cover shipping costs. This seems like really bad customer service in an era where most companies are making it as simple as possible to return defective items.
