GBPoor coverage The website says that after sanding, it should only take 2 coats of paint to cover furniture. I've sanded done 3 coats and still aren't happy with the coverage. It's ended up being much more work than anticipated.

GBMeh. We got a sample kit of your paint because we just needed to touch up a few spots on my son's crib before using it for our new baby. I'm glad your paint is so safe, but it's really expensive, so I was hoping a sample would do the trick. We waited for about a week and your website said it still hadn't shipped yet, so I wrote to ask when it would ship. I then checked the mail the next day and it was there, even though the night before your site was still saying it hadn't shipped. So that was weird, especially for something that I thought was going to require a signature- it was just in our mailbox. I never got an email response to my inquiry, but I figured that was just because you guys knew I was about to get it the next day. But then a couple of days later another kit arrived. I don't even know. That seems like kind of a waste of money on your end, but whatever. Anyway, I made the mistake of leaving them on the dining room table. My four year old opened it and ate some, because he thought it looked like applesauce. So I'm glad it's non-toxic. While I was cleaning up the mess, my husband put it on all the little chews and chips on the crib without doing a test patch first (I guess he figured black is black) and when it dried we were dismayed to see that it dried MATTE. I can't imagine anyone would want to paint walls or furniture in a nursery with matte paint, so I suspect you do this on purpose so that people can't get away with just using a sample kit instead of a full can. Needless to say, the crib looks terrible and will have to be sanded down and repainted. Our bad for not doing a test patch, but whenever it is that we finally have time for this project, we won't be using lullaby paints. It's just way to expensive for us, especially since this is now going to be an even costlier project. I would still recommend you to friends though (and have) because I like how safe your paints are. But only with the reservation that you're mail-order only where we live, and very expensive.

GBPainted crib I've painted a lot of furniture before and I wanted to make sure that the paint I used for my baby's crib was safe. This paint was just that. No fumes and no terrible smell for my sensitive pregnancy nose. I read the blog and followed instructions on how to paint the crib, lightly sand it down, wipe it off, paint one layer let it dry overnight and repeat. I chose a white semi gloss finish and although the color is great I hate the finish. I absolutely hate it. The paint did not really go on as easily as most paints and coverage was not very good. I think that's probably because I have a dark colored crib. One week and 3 coats later and I now hate the crib and regret painting it. Even after giving it days to dry the paint scratches off easily. I'm thinking it needed more than a light sanding. This was a very very expensive lesson learned for me. I'll just stick to normal chemicals or just buy a white crib next time. I would give it 2.5 stars rounded to 3 because it is what it said it is. Baby safe paint.

GBPaint sucks Bought primer and paint for a crib. What a hassle to do so. Paint scratches easily

GBDecent primer/paint for what we needed We ordered primer and paint (in a custom color) for our baby's crib. We were excited to find something baby and pregnancy safe, so we took the plunge and ordered. We did a custom color, and that turned out great - perfect match, as far as we can tell! Shipment arrived on time and in perfect condition. The paint was so-so as far as application. We typically use a pretty good quality Sherwin-Williams paint when we have projects, so that is the quality we're used to, and it certainly was not on par with that. Paint had to be applied very thin, or we got terrible marks in it. We did two coats, and overall I think it looks good. We got the semi gloss, and it's not glossy at all. In hindsight, I would have opted for a gloss finish for furniture instead.
