GBTerrible customer service, paint does have fumes, but looks good in the end We had a terrible customer service experience with Lullaby. First, Lullaby sent us the wrong amounts of paint. When I called to have this fixed, the woman on the phone was very nice and accommodating and promised to send the missing paint out right away, saying it would arrive in 2-3 days. When the paint did not arrive 3 days later as promised, I called to check and found out that the paint had not shipped yet. Lullaby offered to send the paint overnight, but then made sure to let me know that it was costing them extra money to send me the 2 quarts I was missing since I paid for a gallon (and only received 2 quarts the first time) and to send it overnight - which was totally inappropriate given that Lullaby was the one that made the 2 mistakes. When the paint finally did arrive, it does have some fumes. I spent about an hour painting, and felt that I needed to leave the house (I'm 30 weeks pregnant) and parents continued the painting. Now that the room is painted, it looks good and the paint covered pretty well. I would recommend ordering more than recommended on the room calculator, because it really took us about 3 coats to get a good even covering of the walls.

CAOverall great product, but difficult application My husband and I wanted to paint one chalkboard wall in our baby's nursery, so I spent a lot of time researching no VOC paint options on the market and kept landing on rave reviews for Lullaby Paints. The website had a lot of great information and we also found the paint calculator easy to use and helpful in terms of how much to order for our project. Overall, we were very pleased with the product. As promised, the paint was odourless and had a very nice thick texture for a chalkboard paint. Cons - the application of the paint was very tricky. We needed to do 4 coats in the end and still have very visible roller marks on the wall, despite using a foam roller as suggested for the 'ideal' application of the product. Also, because we live in Canada the shipping costs were insane (about as expensive as the quart of paint itself). Last con to mention, after calling all of the Canadian vendors listed on the Lullaby Paints website we realized none of them actually carried the product (something I think the company has a responsibility to accurately reflect on their website).

GBMeh. We got a sample kit of your paint because we just needed to touch up a few spots on my son's crib before using it for our new baby. I'm glad your paint is so safe, but it's really expensive, so I was hoping a sample would do the trick. We waited for about a week and your website said it still hadn't shipped yet, so I wrote to ask when it would ship. I then checked the mail the next day and it was there, even though the night before your site was still saying it hadn't shipped. So that was weird, especially for something that I thought was going to require a signature- it was just in our mailbox. I never got an email response to my inquiry, but I figured that was just because you guys knew I was about to get it the next day. But then a couple of days later another kit arrived. I don't even know. That seems like kind of a waste of money on your end, but whatever. Anyway, I made the mistake of leaving them on the dining room table. My four year old opened it and ate some, because he thought it looked like applesauce. So I'm glad it's non-toxic. While I was cleaning up the mess, my husband put it on all the little chews and chips on the crib without doing a test patch first (I guess he figured black is black) and when it dried we were dismayed to see that it dried MATTE. I can't imagine anyone would want to paint walls or furniture in a nursery with matte paint, so I suspect you do this on purpose so that people can't get away with just using a sample kit instead of a full can. Needless to say, the crib looks terrible and will have to be sanded down and repainted. Our bad for not doing a test patch, but whenever it is that we finally have time for this project, we won't be using lullaby paints. It's just way to expensive for us, especially since this is now going to be an even costlier project. I would still recommend you to friends though (and have) because I like how safe your paints are. But only with the reservation that you're mail-order only where we live, and very expensive.

GBPaint sucks Bought primer and paint for a crib. What a hassle to do so. Paint scratches easily

GBGlad it's safe could offer better coverage. We wanted to paint a baby crib. The shipment was fast and came in great packaging. It's of course a bit pricey. The color was wonderful and exactly as represented on the website. I found the paint to be a bit watery and drip marks became a problem while painting. After three coats it looked nice though. Other paints offer a much better product (with better coverage) but safety was my number one concern so I see it as worth the cost, watery consistency, and extra coat of paint.
