Solid DIY solution for the most part Overall my experience with Abode has been positive. The hardware (except for the outdoor smart camera which has been pulled from the market) has been solid. The monitored service seems solid and when I have tested the fire/smoke alarms, I've received a call immediately. The system integrates well with Home Assistant. I use the motion and door/window sensors for triggering smart home events.

We are long term users and love Abode We have been using Abode for home security and monitoring, leak detection, CO/Smoke detection, and multiple smart home functions (locks, lights, etc.) We love what Abode provides for us seamlessly, and perfectly customized to our needs. Abode connects easily through their mobile app, and we also access it through Alexa and Home Assistant. So versatile, customizable, and reliable. I can't say enough good things about Abode.

Nothing has worked for me Nothing had worked for me. It’s all useless. The cameras never stay connected, the front door camera will not upgrade, online but black image. I have nothing set up to give alerts but paid for Pro plan? I see in an old email you were supposed to send me a sim to activate? Never received. Not even the sign works to pretend I have security. Came missing one piece! Total complete waste of money so far, high aggravation cost too!

The worst The worst. Hub not working properly . Plus they changed their service terms ! Now you can’t enjoy the automations for free and the detailed notifications ! Everything is made to make you pay even If you think you will use HomeKit instead . Pro plan not available in Quebec but they let you pay anyway. So no monitoring and no cellular backup lool . Finally, Very poor support

Didn't sell me what I didn't need, listened to me When we were deciding on what we needed for our house the person assisting us was not pushy at all. He educated us on everything but ultimately let us decide on what we needed. When the items came, it was easy to install by ourselves & we love that we can personalize the monitoring to our needs based on when we need it.
