Not much into gadgets especially when… Not much into gadgets especially when using apps. Got to say installing an Abode home system when very smoothly- really impressed. Had an issue subscribing to the annual payment, the online staff were very helpful . Excellent service all round.

Solid DIY solution for the most part Overall my experience with Abode has been positive. The hardware (except for the outdoor smart camera which has been pulled from the market) has been solid. The monitored service seems solid and when I have tested the fire/smoke alarms, I've received a call immediately. The system integrates well with Home Assistant. I use the motion and door/window sensors for triggering smart home events.

Nothing has worked for me Nothing had worked for me. It’s all useless. The cameras never stay connected, the front door camera will not upgrade, online but black image. I have nothing set up to give alerts but paid for Pro plan? I see in an old email you were supposed to send me a sim to activate? Never received. Not even the sign works to pretend I have security. Came missing one piece! Total complete waste of money so far, high aggravation cost too!

Compatibility awareness The products are good, but here is my negative experience. Compatibility shortcomings with Homekit should have been mentioned before purchase. Only after purchasing we found out that the cameras are not compatible with Homekit. The other negative (which I think is big) is the kit did not contain any decals or a sign for the front yard. You have to pay to get these, after spending more than $600. The customer service is excellent.

Security and Reliability I've been an Abode customer for a few months now. During this time, I have come to value the reliability of the system, especially when I travel and have the ability to use the cameras to check in on my pets. I also love the notifications that I receive when motion is detected and the ability to view the stream real-time if needed. Setting up the system was also easy and took me less than an hour for everything. Afterwards, I integrated it with Alexa which makes controlling the system easy through voice commands. Overall, very happy and glad I chose Abode!
