GB8 Cameras didn't last 6 months Abode Cam 2 cameras are a waste of money. I bought 8 Cam 2 cameras for watching my mom's house, 3 interior and 5 exterior. She's 91 years old and lives 1000 miles away from me. Last year, I drove from Florida to Virginia, setup and installed the cameras, and got the Pro subscription. After about a week, the cameras started to go offline randomly. At first when they were power cycled they came back on. After about a month, they would not. In 6 months, all 8 cameras had failed and would not come back on when power cycled. My mom is not tech savvy enough to factory reset and setup the cameras again. Other devices, such as Amazon echo devices never had a problem. Wifi signal is strong. I have now replaced all abode cameras with Blink cameras and haven't had a problem since. The abode cameras are in a junk box.

GBNot much into gadgets especially when… Not much into gadgets especially when using apps. Got to say installing an Abode home system when very smoothly- really impressed. Had an issue subscribing to the annual payment, the online staff were very helpful . Excellent service all round.

GBCompatibility awareness The products are good, but here is my negative experience. Compatibility shortcomings with Homekit should have been mentioned before purchase. Only after purchasing we found out that the cameras are not compatible with Homekit. The other negative (which I think is big) is the kit did not contain any decals or a sign for the front yard. You have to pay to get these, after spending more than $600. The customer service is excellent.

BRExpected more flexibility Bought ABODE for residential standalone use. Alarm system is effective yet simple. I'd expect the capability of dividing group of sensors in zones (ground floor, first floor, main house, barbecue place, etc) in order to allow different time delays per zone.

NZIts junk - it might seem cheap and private and contractless - but its not Every time I try to connect to my two downlights via blue tooth something has changed in the app and nothing works. Its almost as if they deliberately what to make it the worst experience ever! Every time I go to use it it suddenly needs some new permission, for example it suddenly started needing to use location then it needed a wifi connection then it wanted the camera - its a coloured light FFS! This stuff is junk! All I wanted was to turn on some coloured lights and set the colour - but it is NEVER simple- I have to mess around with passwords and locations and blue tooth and reset this and reset that! ITS STUPID! dont waste your money.
