GBNeeded help with a broken heat pump... Needed help with a broken heat pump. Within minutes of posting on HomeAdvisor, I had multiple companies vying for my business. I chose one with high reviews and he was here within the hour and resolved my issue ... wham bam thank you ma'am!

GBPromotes F-rated businesses. Mediation is a joke. We got a leak from the contractor they connected my family with for a chimney cleaning. They no-showed, no-called twice over a month to come back and inspect the work, plus other message dodging. It took five phone numbers to connect to someone at HomeAdvisor who said they could mediate between us. The contractor didn't respond for another month and then began blowing up my phone to say, "They work for us. We pay them. They can't help you." The mediator proved the terrible contractor accurate, and I spent more time talking with HomeAdvisor over the next six months than being helped. HomeAdvisor ultimately never got the contractor to the table for any conversation.

GBGabe's Construction & Restoration LLC… Gabe's Construction & Restoration LLC was a lifesaver! I needed a plumber, but Angi's List estimated $420. It was Friday night and I needed someone first thing Monday morning. A few other plumbers advertised 24/7 service, but it was just an answering service. One said it would be $89 just to come to the house. I called at 10:00 p.m. and Gabe answered the phone. I was a little skeptical at first because it was a construction and restoration service but he did advertise plumbing too, so I went with it. He asked me a few questions and gave me a probable diagnosis right over the phone. He came to the house first thing Monday at no charge to get a complete picture and give me a quote. It turned out to be a bigger job than either of us originally thought but he and his crew fixed it beautifully. They were respectful of my property and cleaned up after themselves. (The handyman had been there the day before and left a little bit of a mess and they even cleaned that up too!) Even though it was bigger job than either of us expected, it only cost $150. Way better than the $420 that Angi's List estimated. I hope that I don't need a plumber ever again, but if I do, I'm calling Gabe's Construction and Restoration. Thanks Gabe!

GBRetaining Wall Replacement Moises Pizana Hardscapes responded quickly to my requests, behaved courteously and professionally throughout the project, answered my questions and stayed in touch when the project began and thereafter, and did a thorough cleanup job post-project. The crew took out an aging railroad-tie retaining wall and bushes as well to accommodate a new crushed-concrete base with beveled stone blocks and caps fronting a geogrid mesh behind every two rows of stone. The wall runs the length of one side of my property. It is graduated in height, with the tallest and longest length measuring just under four feet tall. The project also involved moving and reinstalling sprinkler system pipes and includes a drainage system with weep holes.

GBLet Home Advisor Find the Help You Need! For almost half a year I tried to get a local contractor to make and install railings at the entrances to my home without success. This local contractor kept making promises, but never kept them. The Home Advisor contractor got the job done at a reasonable price within a few days of my contacting them.
