GBNever again. The issues I expected when I paid Trico to move my furniture from LA to Austin was that furniture may possibly get scratched and dinged up. However, I'd been reassured by countless reviews that Trico are professionals that take great care of the items they are entrusted with. Well, what I came to find is that almost *all* of the furniture I shipped with them was *severely damaged* or broken beyond repair! What's more, one of my boxes was LOST COMPLETELY and left behind in LA - it was only with intense documentation, photographs and frantic, angry calls that my box finally turned up and was shipped to me. Sincerely, What kind of a shipping company loses boxes?! Isn't that *their only job*, to get things safe from one place to another? As a note, I posted this same review on their website as two stars and of course they removed it. Thus, this review is now one star. While the people that came to both pick up and deliver my furniture were very kind, very professional, and moved everything in and out without any damage, every item I packed myself is completely safe and sound, and almost every item they packed for me is damaged in some way after the move. This indicates to me there's a problem with how things are being packed, or there's a real problem with the long distance part of the long distance moving. I also came to learn they were contracted by Trico - Trico only does the LONG DISTANCE, not the pickup and delivery, so you never actually deal face to face with Trico employees which to hold accountable. Instead, I've spent the past few months playing phone tag with Trico employees and insurance reps, trying to get a settlement with which to repair my broken items. That's another thing - Trico provided me with a single insurance option, and they have been a veritable nightmare to deal with - they as you to take extensive photos, then they schedule a LONG time away to come in and take photos of your damage AGAIN. In my case, they even scheduled ANOTHER appointment a long time away so they could come pick up my broken computer tower and take it to a specialist to have it looked at - only to come back TWO WEEKS LATER after taking it away to inform me they were repairing the computer instead of giving me an estimate, without having gotten my approval or even telling me the name of the third party! And in this all, Trico has been utterly unhelpful - they've simply repeatedly told me to contact the insurance, or offered to pay me $0.25 per pound of damaged item. What kind of insane exchange rate is that? What kind of settlement offer is that? This move has been an absolute nightmare: one of the worst and most stressful experiences in my life. I'm living in a special kind of hell, surrounded by broken furniture I cannot get rid of yet because Trico's provided insurance company is STILL not done figuring out my claim TWO MONTHS LATER; I am having to repair some items out of my own pocket because I just can't stand waiting anymore, but I have no guarantee of proper reimbursement from the insurance company. This is a complete disaster. Do yourself a favor and never, EVER hire Trico Long Distance Movers.

GBFast & Straight Forward Trico was great! Upon calling for information, Mason gave me the full run down immediately. I barely had any questions when he was done. I gave him some preliminary information about our move and he provided suggestions for pick up dates as well as packaging. We moved from Bronx, NY to San Antonio, TX. The movers arrived on October 1st, as planned. They were actually early and ready to work, which was great. We pre-packed everything, so they just collected the furniture, boxes, etc., ran down how everything was going to work and left us with all necessary documents. We gave October 8th as our earliest move in date and the movers arrived with our belongings on October 12th, well within the 2 week delivery window. We were kept in the loop regarding our belongings' location with periodic tracking updates. We were alerted of our delivery date about 4 days in advance. We received phone calls the day before and the day of pick up/drop off. Everything was very smooth. Every item and box that went out, came back. I would definitely recommend Trico Long Distance Movers to a friend! I only give 4 stars because I placed an item that I will not name in one of my duffle bags and it was missing upon delivery. The duffle bag arrived but something inside was missing which means someone was going through my things. I don't appreciate that but I also know that has more to do with the third party movers that are hired than the Trico company itself.

GBHappy Family Trico helped me ship my daughter some things to help fill her apartment up in Rhode Island. Everyone I dealt with over the phone as well as in person was easy to deal with and friendly. Moving things far away is expensive but if you're going to pay I feel like might as well come from a good company. That way you'll be less likely to have issues. Trico looked good online but more importantly they were good in person.

GBWhat a time saver Was working round the clock up until the move and really had barely anytime to pack. When I get home I'm usually exhausted so packing became something I knew I was going procrastinate on. I ended up having Trico take care of both the packing and move. They labeled all the boxes and categorized them by rooms in my place. Honestly this is something I never really did in the past. I would box things up last minute normally. It was nice having someone put in a bit more time and detail into it. It made unpacking so much easier. I can't think of much I didn't like about working with them. The company was far more put together than a lot of local movers I've used in the past.

GBHorrible customer service experience, do not recommend Overall, my experience with trico was a nightmare. Setting up the pick up of my stuff went smoothly, and the delivery men on both ends of the move were wonderful to work with and did a great job. But dealing with this company administratively was the problem. It took almost two weeks of daily calls to the company to get any answers on when my stuff would be delivered, all under the pretense that dispatch would get back to me. They showed no remorse or understanding about the need to schedule in advance, because sorry, I have a job and can't just take time to move anytime. When I finally heard from dispatch, I was given 4 days notice for a 4-day delivery window. 2 days before the delivery window began, I still hadn't gotten an exact date, and then suddenly got a call from the delivery truck driver that he would be delivering the next day (1 day earlier than the delivery window they set). 4 hours before my scheduled delivery time, the delivery was cancelled, and they asked to reschedule for the following day, however my building had strict regulations on moving and time slots were already booked. I worked it out with the driver to reschedule for 2 days later. Following this, I got called by 3 different people from dispatch (one who literally yelled at me) telling me it was my fault that my stuff couldn't get delivered when they had notified me, and they would be charging me extra fees to put my stuff back in storage during the 2 day hold over period. After rectifying this with help from the delivery man, trico sent him on other deliveries that lead to a second cancellation on the day of my scheduled delivery. My stuff was finally delivered the following day, 8 hours outside of the scheduled time window. Thankfully, I received all of my belongings with very minimal damage, and again, don't blame the delivery men. Though it initially seemed that I would have very personal assistance in scheduling the move, the company was completely unhelpful when it came to getting my stuff delivered, and in the whole time I dealt with these problems with dispatch, there was never any follow-up to see how things went or make any apologies. I also directly asked when I booked if trico used third party delivery men/storage places for their moves (because I had researched and heard horror stories about these issues), and was told they did not when THEY DO - which was part of the issue in getting my stuff delivered. I felt taken advantage of and it was truly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I would strongly recommend against using them.
