GBAbusive marketing practices Abusive marketing practices by the General Manager, Doug. Won't stop texting after requested. Be careful if you give your phone number to request a quote. They don't like it of you decline and the put effort into letting you know.

GBI had sent several requests out I had sent several requests out, and First Class Movers was the only one that responded. I did a small apartment move for a college student from Chicago to Kentucky. So, it was all handled over the phone and it was very easy. The process was great. The estimate varied a little bit, but I understand. Everything was well-packed and well taken care of.The movers called two hours prior to let us know that they would be arriving around a specific time. Then, on the day of delivery to the next location, they called in the morning and gave us a four-hour window, and then they called an hour and a half out and said, "We'll be there in an hour and a half." So, there was a lot of detailed communication. The whole experience was very easy.

GBFirst Class Movers truly lived up to First Class Movers truly lived up to their name. Our long-distance move went off without a hitch thanks to their excellent service. Their customer service team was responsive and accommodating, and the moving crew was professional and efficient. They took great care in packing and securing our belongings, which arrived at our new home in perfect condition. Communication was top-notch, and there were no hidden fees in the pricing. We couldn't have asked for a better moving experience. If you're planning a long-distance move, First Class Movers should be your first choice.

GBZero Communication If There Are Issues Communication at the beginning—from getting a quote to scheduling pickup—was good. Not excellent, there were times we reached out to confirm date/time and couldn’t get a hold of anyone. Pickup was in time. Movers doubled the cost from the over the phone quote, but at that point we had no choice but to proceed. We had very few furniture pieces (2 desks, a bookcase, a dresser, large cat tree) and the rest was boxes. Movers were quick, but not particularly careful. Taking boxes out of the hallway, they tore out a flooring transition piece, said nothing to me, and put it in the closet. Delivery was where it really went sideways. When we booked them, we were assured they don’t broker out moves, it was all handled by them and our Seattle to LA move was a frequented route for them. They delivered within their estimated window, but the original calls assured us it would likely be 5 days earlier than when they finally arrived. All communication via email to keep us updated on delivery date listed First Class Movers. Movers show up, and can’t take the money order because we made it out to First Class Movers and they were a different moving company. Tried calling original contact to make sure this was legit, no answer. Delivery was 2 men who seemed ill equipped and were stacking heavy boxes on top of “glass” “fragile” in the street. Boxes were also very beat up on delivery, some with holes, collapsing, etc. This shows that even though I marked boxes “heavy” or “fragile” their priority was to stack boxes high and overload the boxes rather than ensure items made it safely. Boxes were tagged with numbered labels when they were picked up but many of these labels fell off during transit so it’s impossible to check off all the boxes on delivery. Ultimately, we are missing at least 7 boxes now that we have unpacked. We have tried to reach out via phone, text and email in the hopes someone could attempt to track down our missing boxes and have received zero response. Also important to note that at no point did the person over the phone address insurance or adding additional coverage for the move, which means filing a claim if successful results in $0.60 per pound of missing stuff. But the charge by cubic feet, not weight, so there’s no way to verify the weight they took compared to the weight they delivered. We’re missing four boxes of books, a box of kitchen supplies and two boxes of makeup/toiletries and are looking at over $3500 of missing items that we may be eligible to recover about $150 of. And again, once they have your stuff and your money, communication plummets and then ceases completely. This was my first time hiring movers for an out of state move and it has soured me on doing it again. Even trying to make the move as uncomplicated as possible by bringing very little furniture and having it all in boxes didn’t work.
