GBI had sent several requests out I had sent several requests out, and First Class Movers was the only one that responded. I did a small apartment move for a college student from Chicago to Kentucky. So, it was all handled over the phone and it was very easy. The process was great. The estimate varied a little bit, but I understand. Everything was well-packed and well taken care of.The movers called two hours prior to let us know that they would be arriving around a specific time. Then, on the day of delivery to the next location, they called in the morning and gave us a four-hour window, and then they called an hour and a half out and said, "We'll be there in an hour and a half." So, there was a lot of detailed communication. The whole experience was very easy.

GBI contacted First Class Movers from a… I contacted First Class Movers from a referral. and my experience with them is great. They arrived right on time which was impressive for movers anyway. The men were very experienced and showed great efficiency in packing and loading all my stuff. I recommend them for moving.

GBIn comparison to the other company we… In comparison to the other company we were looking at, the cost of First Class was a little bit better. I gave them a call and while we were on the phone, they went through everything that we had and did an inventory list and gave us a rough estimate. They said that they would email it over to me. Once I discussed it with my husband, we could decide within a certain amount of time, and then go ahead and book with them and pay a deposit. And that was what we did. They told us that we could cancel up until a certain point for a full refund of the deposit and we could also change the dates. If we needed the truck a little bit earlier or later, we could do that. We ended up needing to do that. It went really smoothly. I would recommend them. Whoever they picked was also wonderful. They did a phenomenal job because they were the ones that we really dealt with on the actual move.

GBScammers First, I spoke with Doug via text and on the phone for a move from VA to FL. Super personable, made me feel comfortable with going with this company. I told Doug I had a 2 bedroom condo. He quoted me $1717.52 & told me it wouldn’t be above $1900. Sold! I did my $450 Venmo deposit. The day of pick up came & I was greeted by 3 movers. Super fast/did great. But then came all of these extra charges. The movers said I had more than 300 cf. I said-there’s no way. I got the quote & told both Doug and Elizabeth what I had and both said I’d be fine. I still paid the money bc the move needed to happen. I called customer service and was told I’d be given a $200 credit. (Never saw that) I tried calling doug and Elizabeth to see what went wrong. I got a call back from Hilary from the # I had for Doug. I answered-hi doug, she informs me of who she is and I said- I’d like to speak with Doug.she said she’d be able to help. So I tell her I’m being double charged and Doug said it wouldn’t be over $1900.Immediately, she gave me an attitude and told me doug would never say that and she knows he wouldn’t say that bc he’s her husband. She went on and on & wasn’t even listening to me. She said she’d pull the phone recording and get back to me. She never got back to me. Probably bc she found out I was right. Doug finally texted me and asked if I’d still like to speak and I said yes. He never called or texted me again. I was told by Dana I can file a claim- so I’m in the process of that. It took the full 14 business days for me to receive my items. Only 1 man was sent to unload my items, the driver. He was great and I felt bad for him. He wouldn’t unload my items until he had final payment. (Which the $200 wasn’t taken off & he said I’d have to take it up with first movers) They only take zelle, cash and money order…even though I paid with Venmo and a check for deposit and pick up. Ended up paying the balance in cash. The driver starts to unload. I tell him the items aren’t mine. He said yes they were- white stickers. I said no it’s not-I had yellow stickers and I numbered my boxes. I showed him my pictures. He confirms with someone that my shipment(3rd drop off)and the 2nd drop off were reversed. So my items were behind someone else’s. He had to spend time moving the other people’s belongings to get to my stuff. While he was unloading my stuff, he was asking if items were mine. My items are in storage so I won’t even know if I have everything for about a year. It was so unorganized and I’m super disappointed in the way I was treated and lied to. I will NEVER do business with first class movers again and I will spread the word too until this is rectified. Awful, awful, awful! I googled how many cubic feet is a 2 bedroom condo and it says 400-600. They’re measurements don’t add up. It’s not like I’m the movers-I trusted them and was scammed $1,528.13!! Do yourself a favor and do NOT use them! Photos of my quote, my pick up bill and what they actually moved from my place. Everything fit in my dining room!! If this isn’t taken care of, I will be getting a lawyer
