GBCRIMINALS 10/29/2022 I have never seen a business act so irresponsibly - I don't even know where to begin. In early September we hired Best Fit to move us out of our 3 bedroom house and store our things for a few months. Everything was already boxed up and packed - They just needed to move and store. Each time they lifted a new object, there was an up-charge. They missed items that they said they'd come back for and never did. We never got any real estimate for the move or the storage - they just decided to tell us after having our belongings held hostage. 6k for the move and $1400/month for storage. UNREAL! I've called and left messages with their Claims Department COUNTLESS times and never a call back - I wanted to discuss the crummy move and the expense, but no luck. Finally today, the day they're moving us out of storage and into our new house, I got a hold of Reuben in Claims - I told him we wanted to talk to someone before paying in full. That the movers were to be at the house at 10am and got there at 2:30. They damaged the neighbors brick fencing. Reuben told me no claims could be made until I pay in full - Then I come to this site and see this is how they operate. Now I tell him I won't pay, that I want to talk to a human about how to resolve this and frankly have them reduce the costs! To this, Reuben calls the movers and tells them to stop loading our belongings until we pay in full. CRIMINALS.

GBovercharged I paid them by cash but they also charged my credit card. I followed up my case several times with phone and email but no response. Then, I received a letter from collection company to be charged for $327+ collection fee for this case. I called and emailed the company several times with no response at all. The collection company sent me the contract with signature which wasn't mine even the date of signature was wrong. I had to pay it to not affect on my credit score but I will follow up this case with small court.

GBLarge screen TV taken At the end of September, I hired Best Fit Movers to move my things from my old apartment to a storage unit, as my new apartment wouldn't be ready for three weeks. The first move went fine but when they moved my things from the storage unit to my new apartment, my $700 60" 4K HD TV was missing. After calling four days in a row with no response, I finally heard back from someone in their Claims Department that their mover took it and said I gave it to him. I told them that was ridiculous and asked why I would give a perfectly fine $700 TV away to a complete stranger. They said they would return the TV but after numerous calls and zero calls back, they still haven't made any effort to return the TV, after 3 weeks now. I'll be filing a small claims suit in short order. I'm just hoping someone in charge at the company sees this and resolves the situation first.

GBTaken Advantage Of/Scammed Best Fit Movers/Best Bet Movers is the same company. I used Best Fit Movers for my Saturday, 8am move. I had 3 men to move a complete Queen bedroom set, 2 queen mattresses, 2 queen box springs, a glass China cabinet, a dining room set, a glass fireplace and about 25 boxes. The move could have and should have been completed in the minimum 3 hour timeframe, but when we approached the first hour and a half instead of loading the China cabinet and fireplace so we could head over to the new place, the 3 men decided they needed a break. They kept taking several breaks and no one would answer the phone at the office. After everything was finally loaded up 3hrs later, a 10 minute drive, turned into me waiting an hour and a half at the new place for the movers. Calling the office was useless, because the two young girls didn’t have a clue & 1 sounded like she was having sex. There was no management at the office that Saturday. The men finally arrived, upset that I called the office. Stating they took a lunch break. How do you take a lunch break when you are charging someone by the hour? Why didn’t he inform me? So they began carrying my belongings up the stairs to the new place and the little young boy, Geraldo kept dropping different pieces of my furniture, damaging/breaking my property. Long story short, a simple 3hr moved turned into a 7hr move and I was helping with the lifting and carrying, some of my furniture and belongings ended up damaged and broken, and to add insult on top of everything else Franc, Brian and Geraldo scammed me! Because I couldn’t see what I was signing on the little phone, Franc acted like he was talking to the office and they were telling him to tell me when to sign and what I was signing. I ended up giving them $800 in cash, not including the $100 I had already paid to book my move. I was not given a receipt. The next day, Easter Sunday, I happened to check my email and saw that the movers put down I paid them $700 in cash, which was a lie. I called the office furious. Of course no one was there to help me, so I emailed the Manager, Juliana a more detailed enactment of the day and included pictures. She had a gentleman call me the next day, who quickly said, “I can’t give you back more than $200”, because it’s only .60 per pound. If he would have really looked at those pictures my move should have been free or charged me the minimum 3hr for $424, because that is all my move took, the rest of the time was their movers messing around. The fact that their movers lied to me about the amount, and stole from their company is horrible. I felt they were scamming me, but I knew if I didn’t pay them, it would be a problem. So I paid them what they asked for knowing I was calling the office Monday to make a complaint. I will never use this company or any company affiliated with them again. I feel more could have been done for me considering my furniture that was damaged was new furniture. I am writing this review to make others aware, especially since my coworker was considering using this company for her move.
