To holland aka the Netherland Schmidt got us to Holland with very little stress involve. Everyone I dealt with here spoke kindly and provided some great hospitality along the way. The pricing was all inclusive and didn't have any factors or fine print that would give it the ability to change later on. I honestly liked this style of moving much better than local moving. I was under the impression with how tricky moving over seas is that there was going to be handful of issues but clearly they know what they're doing.

Abysmal service, zero accountability. My wife and I contracted this company to move our household items from Oakland, CA to Dundee, Scotland. We didn’t think the price for the move was too bad, and the 3-month timetable seemed fair. It ended up taking them 10 months to deliver anything, many of our items were smashed to bits when we received them, and they ended up charging us an additional $1000 to get our items off the dock. We ended up going back and forth with their “Customer Service” department about all this. We were eventually offered $400 in recompense, provided we sign a “settlement agreement” freeing them from all legal liability for the late delivery and damages, and restricting us from commenting publicly on their staggeringly poor service. I don’t like being held over a barrel like that, so here we are. In any case, if you decide to go with this company, maybe don’t ship anything that’s too important to you, or that you want to see again any time soon.

Terrible experience with Schmidt Terrible experience with Schmidt, around 8 items, some of them very high value, turned up scratched and/or broken, packing consisted of items being thrown into boxes without proper wrapping, we couldn’t believe it when the van turned up as it had no branding, the guys weren’t wearing uniforms and didn’t speak English, the van itself looked like it should have been sold for scrap several years ago. Total sharks’ outfit, do not be tempted by the low prices, it will cost you more in the long run.

Glad I found them Finding a good international moving company is a so much harder than finding a good local mover. Glad we finally I found Schmidt International after calling around and searching online. They got my families things shipped to Italy safely and carried out all details that were promised in the beginning. Paying upfront for a move was a new experience for us and a bit nerve wracking to be honest but I later realized that's the norm with shipping over seas. Schmidt helped with packing, customs forms, and all heavy lifting. Their moving affiliate team in Italy was just as good as the movers we used in the start.

High Quality Service As they promised amazing service, well I most definitely got it! It was my first experience ever moving overseas and it was a bit of a time crunch for me because I had accepted my promotion last minute. Having to move out on time and finding a moving company that I could trust was stressful, to say the least, but I'm glad I ran into Schmidt. The wonders of the internet I tell ya! From being at my condo on earlier than expected to packing almost EVERYTHING for me, it was smooth sailing and carefully packaged. They moved quick, but were organized the entire time. They worked as a team too, so as one would focus more on the bigger appliances and breaking them down, the other was able to pack my fragile items, for instance, all of my art, lamps, sculptures, vanity mirror, and a ton more. It was incredible service and a huge help to me. Well worth it!
