GBGreat experience with Cross Country Movers I had hired movers to pick up my things from storage in SF to transport them cross-country, after I had already relocated. Trying to coordinate a move remotely is very stressful as it is. To add to it - the movers I initially hired never showed up on the scheduled pick up day and then outright cancelled on me the day after. I called Victor at CrossCountry Moving Company with my predicament and he went above and beyond to quickly coordinate for my things to be picked up - just days later! I'm not sure how he managed that, CA moves are in incredibly high demand now. He even made additional calls on my behalf on his day off to ensure a smooth move. My things were all picked up on time, as scheduled and I received a great communication from Victor, as well as Tara and John on the dispatch team leading up the pick up day, the day of and to follow up on all of the next steps leading up to delivery in Massachusetts. I couldn't be more thankful I could count on the professionalism and care of CrossCountry movers when I really needed it.

GBcross country nightmare Asked for a quote for 1300 cubic ft of inventory. The rep said they quote based on inventory & that is how they can charge lower rates than competitors. He sent a quote based on my inventory list, & I followed up with a video, as requested. We settled on a date for packing/moving. The day before moving, the rep said that based on the video I had sent 3 weeks prior (20 days exactly), the move would cost $2,000 more than they quoted. They made sure we didn’t have time to find a different company to move us from CA to PA. He said it would take a full day for packing/loading, but I did not expect that to be from 12- 1:30am (for 1 bed, 1 office, 1 nursery). They played Tetris with the truck because they sent one for 1100 cubic ft instead of 1300. Also couldn’t fit our lawnmower so we had to leave that behind. They asked us to go to McDonald’s at 10pm for them. At 1:30am, they left 20 boxes, packing tape, and (McD’s) trash everywhere. We received an audacious email from the rep in the AM saying we owed an additional $1200. We called him to ask how, when he had the video & inventory list for 3 weeks. Instead of explaining what we were being charged for, he berated us, then hung up. He then texted that he was calling dispatch to tell them to return our stuff & they would charge us for all of the packing & moving. His texting was frantic, full of contradictions & he wouldn’t answer calls. We called the main line & connected with a manager, who was barely better than the rep. After we explained the situation to him, his response was that we didn’t need to go get McDonald’s for the crew, & that they don’t use videos as a means to compile an estimate (even though that is what they used 2 days prior to say they needed to charge us more before showing up). We had no choice but to pay. We were moving across the country with our 4 month old & this experience was so incredibly stressful. After googling, I realized others had issues with that rep as well. A side note, he said it would take about 5-7 days for delivery; it was 14. After unpacking some items, realized several were broke and then packed that way. A few items were broken and packed as separate pieces, indicating they knew they were broken, said nothing, and packed them for us to open glass shards.

GBTHE WORST MOVERS IN THE WORLD! Read all the negative ones and you will know. They have multiple websites: crosscountrymovers.com and crosscountrymovingcompany.net are the same guys. And have many different Yelp pages. So do your homework well. They are NOT even a real moving company. A bunch of guys with with a phone. They will give you a very sweet deal and take the money upfront. Then the nightmare begins. A small local company comes to you. Cross Country Movers don't own anything, not even the trucks. Hence they never know where your stuff is. You can keep calling and pull your hair but they will keep telling you 'the driver will call you 24 hours before delivery' and they have no idea where the truck is or when it will arrive. We got our stuff three weeks later. Many things broken because no one is responsible; the packers are a different company, the driver different, and the delivery guys someone else. No one cares how your things are. You'd be better off finding a handyman and paying him to do the job. He'll probably break less things and keep you updated on when he's reaching.

GBAbove average service Making a big transition like moving to another state is exciting but it's also an emotional rollercoaster. I gave these guys my trust and they did an amazing job. They could have easily caused additional stress and ruined my mood or any excitement I had. But they didn't, they added to the excitement with great work ethic, and very well rehearsed process for getting everything form point A to point B. This was arguably one of the best moving experiences I've ever had in my life. I'm only taking time to write this review because I've dozens of mediocre to negative experiences in the past and this one was much much different.

GBFast and Friendly Service! I needed to move out as soon as possible, due to a new position I had just accepted In London. My mom referred me to this company and glad she did. Called in for a free estimate and they were able to help me move out the next day! They were a pleasure to work with because they did almost everything. Staff moved quickly but still was very careful. Best part, the rate they had given me in the beginning never changed. Overall, great experience.
